The Ryan Air of Tax Filing

This is the Ryan Air experience of doing your taxes. It constantly is asking you to buy this or buy that extra thing. It isn't cheap and then it charges even more money to submit a return? What is this garbage? It already auto-renewed without me ever agreeing to that. I will not be using this again.

TurboTax gets more complicated and restrictive

I have always had good experiences filing my taxes through TTAX. I hope your excellent software continues to live up to this high bar set during previous experiences. I would like it to be easier to safe my tax return on my local drive and be able to open these nor access these files easier. TTAX has appeared to get more complicated over the years. This may be the fault of the tax laws and government processes, but it seems to get more confusing each year.

Turbo Tax has its issues

The compatibility of filing choices and payment options are cumbersome. It does not allow you to access prior year return to verify prior year AGI. It only allows for the current year information. This makes it difficult to complete the return and efile.

TurboTax is Overpriced and Confusing!

I just hate how expensive you are - and all the hidden fees at the end of the application. I also hate how you say you can easily merge over documents but then you actually cant. I also hated how you asked me to fix a specific section of a document but then when I went to go find that document, the way that you have it set up, it doesn't show me exactly what the specific section is that you wanted me to fix. Oh and also I tried to write a review and it wouldn't let me, claiming my usernames were all used.

Software Bug!

Not sure what changed or went wrong with Turbo Tax but this years filing experience was absolutely HORRIBLE! I have been a faithful user of this software for years now without any problems until this year. Something has changed with the features, There was some type of bug that prevented me from e-filing my State Tax return. Numerous other people reported the same issue. I will NOT be using Turbo Tax again next year.

Turbo Tax - Request AI feature

I really hope that by next year, the integration of AI will allow me to simply place all my PDF documents into a single folder so that TurboTax can automatically populate the data and file my return. I found myself relying on Google Gemini quite a bit this year for assistance instead of using the built in TurboTax help features, and I am definitely looking for a much smoother reporting process next season. The most frustrating part of the current system is the manual entry required for RSU stocks. Even for tiny amounts like 0.012 shares or a single dollar in earnings, I still had to manually type in every single line item.

Turbo Tax is just okay and no improvements!!!

Asking for 1099-C without a way around it.. Had to go back and manually skip that screen. Accidentally added state and could not remove. Not even support person could remove. Prompt for Account info 3rd times after already validated. Can upload image using phone with online version but not available via desktop. But with images via phone it didn't capture corectly. very quirky this year!

First year I've had issues

I have used Turbotax Home and Business for many years. This year was the first year that I would encounter an error when I go to pay for the State. It would not let me proceed. Upon numerous conversations with Turbotax and trying some things on my end, it still would not let me put in my card information to charge the state e file, therefore I had to mail them in, something I haven't had to do in many years. Please fix whatever this issue is, because I won't be using Turbotax again unless it's figured out.

do not buy turbo tax

I could not transfer my 2024 turbo tax to 2025 turbo tax and had to start from new. And now i was not able to save my new turbo tax 2025 as a pdf file. So i may not be able to transfer the 2025 info to my 2026 tax return. Consequently i will be going to a new tax service next year. After 15 years as a turbo tax user you just lost my business, not that you really care.

Somewhat Disappointed

Overall, reasonably good. Lots of problems with the business tab and the retirement part of it. In that tab, it appears to show I can still contribute $46,500 to a SEP, but that contribution does not affect my overall tax. Other places in the Turbo Tax code, it appears to contradict the business tab. Finally, no matter what I do, the high level of the business tab for retirement still states "available" in green. Is that a mistake that the "available" in green never seems to go away. It is very confusing. Turbo Tax can and should make their software better.
