It failed me tremendously by not making clear NOT TO INCLUDE the 2024 overpayment CREDIT in the Estimated Tax Payments entry. When doing my preliminary return back in April for an extension of time to file, I included, and the program then doubled it up in a location that was not visible on the entry screen. This resulted in an underpayment and now I expect to receive a notice for a penalty and interest!

It was hard to find certain unusual forms such as the 1095A. I was not able to use efile for the KS return. I was held up on the transfer from Turbo Tax to the payment center for the $25 fee. I called once two weeks ago and the representative couldn't help me at al. Today the representative was able to look into Turbo Tax and on your reporting network about this problem. She submitted a service order and told me to try to efile KS later in the afternoon. Still doesn't work. So will be paper filing KS.

I have been a long time user of TurboTax and every year it has gotten simpler to use.It's logically set up so that I can follow the guide but if I need to zero in on a particular form it's a simple matter. However, the best thing about the software is that it is reliable. I have never encountered any bugs or errors.

Why do you make is so difficult to use the download version i don't want to use the online because I need to do more than one return. why is so hard to find out how to credit my overpayment to next year. I could not find it for MA so i had to waste time filing in information I didn't want to. also had issues downloading information from investments from the same provider which so i had to summarize cap gain info and needed to attach paper documents

I have used Turbo Tax for decades. It would be nice if you became Linux OS compatible as I do not use Windows, nor do I respect MicroSoft. Apple MAC worked just fine however I had to spend $1500+ on new laptop because you are not Linux Compatible yet.

I have been using TurboTax for years. I do all of my families taxes for them. We are all small business owners and use Home & Business Version. They are detailed and complicated and I trust Turbotax to accurately figure what we owe and to keep them in a safe place. However this year, when I had to install an update this month, all of my data was lost on my personal taxes. It just disappeared. It has taken me hours to reconstruct my return. I don't understand how this could happen. Please correct this. My copies were somehow erased or lost, I just had a pdf to use to reconstruct my data. No happy with this.

Unfortunately we encounter a problem that prevents us from E-filing. I hope TurboTax can address it in the future: We received a K1 from a pass-through entity that made a non-cash charity donation. Because the amount exceeds the threshold, it believe that a form 8283 with the donee signature is required. I can accept that the E-file engine is not designed to handle signature. However in this case, our personal 8283 does not really require a signature, per IRS instruction. I hope the future TurboTax can detect that the donation is by the pass-through entity and allow the taxpayer to E-file. We can send the donating entity's 8283 by mail, using 8453 mechanism.

ITS VERY HARD TO EDIT SOME INFORMATIO ONCE IT HAS PASSED THE TOPIC SECTION, I USUALLY DELETE THE FORM AND RESTART FROM BEGINING. I STARTED A RETURN USING THE PREMIUM VERSION BUT WHEN I USED THE OUTPUT ON THE BUSINESS VERSION IT LOST A LOT OF INPUT.

Consistent, which is great. As usual, my four state returns were the hardest part. The help boxes for the states lack some detailed information, but that is because the states don't give federal quality detailed information.
