VERY DIFFICULT TO AVOID "ON LINE RETURN"!! I USE DESKTOP AND WILL NOT USE ON LINE!! RESULTS ARE GREAT, BUT USE BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT EACH YEAR, I EXPECT TO DOWN LOAD TO DESKTOP AND SHOULD NOT KEEP GETTING "CONTINUE ON LONE". PLEASE CORRECT THIS FOR NEXT YEAR. I HAVE USE THIS TAX SOFTWARE EVEN BEFORE INTUIT BOUGHT IT OUT. KEEP IT SIMPLW STUPID.

the software does not do quality checks. Just discovered that my state return was filed with error. Turbo tax never cross-checked my residency with the fact that w2 showed lower amount of wages for my residency state. Or at least could have raised it as a red flag.

Terrible software program. During the final review< (after the other two review processes had been complete), it changed an entry in my state tax form thar caused the refund to be drastically reduced incorrectly. Now I have to file an amended state return.

ALWAYS A TRYING EXPERIENCE! Can't copy or print any the help pop-up information for later review. Can't copy and paste any field names or data to save in a Notepad file for back reference while completing numerous other steps. There are SO MANY TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM WHEN THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH HELP! Instead, you make us manually write down EVERY BIT OF IMPORTANT DATA that we may need to back reference later.

I love Turbo Tax. I've been doing mine and others taxes for years now. The biggest problem was, that I had to get a new computer in order to do taxes this year, because I have Windows 10 and I needed a Windows 11. This added expense was not what I was needing in this economy, along with the expense of the program.

I have used this product for years but this year a clinch kept adding in a W-2 that does not exist but was automatically added. This caused a real problem as I had not received a W-2 form for additional statutory income. I finally was able to file listing a zero. I hope I don't get audited!

I am satisfied with the reporting to the IRS. I have not had an audit since changing to turbotax many years ago. The interface needs to be improved so that all the dollar amounts can be marked estimated. This is important to me because I use estimates of my wife's business to determine how much tax to pay before the deadline. This is a feature that was available in the previous years, but is now only available on a few variables this year. It would be nice if this were compatible with previous years. This feature also makes it possible to identify estimated values during the final check. The accuracy is usually good, but I couldn't find a place to put attorney's contingency fees for a settlement without looking outside turbotax. When my disabled daughter was alive, I was also unable to find where the tax free payment to my wife should be entered without looking outside turbotax.

Form 4684 is non-compliant. After about 6 hours and at least that many different calls, I was told that E-Filling isn't available if using that form if loss is due to Ponzi. This will be my last year with TurboTax. If you can't support better than that, I'll go elsewhere

Downloading was a challenge. I needed to get help. When I finally was able to talk to a human being, the experience was excellent. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I was not able to download my information from Edward Jones, even though Turbo Tax said that I was able to. It certainly did not reflect in the return itself. Also, changing one thing during the review process, namely, I put a $0 in the form that asked if I had a business energy credit (Form 7206 I think). I had to figure out where I inputted that information and update it there instead of fixing it quickly like the other errors mentioned. This took me a while to figure it out. It should be more intuitive.

I think the product is not as useful as it has been in the past, early years. I strongly dislike the help function as it never leads me to anything useful. I hate that you try to lock in the sale of live help on many of the final pages. I hate that you charge to efile a state return. And you don't make it easy to print and file instead of efile for a charge by burying that option. The only reason I still use it is the ease of uploading prior year records into a new year tax return.
