Some entries in rental property, maybe other places, didn't have context menu selection of details. when transferring previous year to current, those details are really helpful as a reminder of what list of things to enter, dropping those would be a big loss. Feeling pushed to on-line version, I don't like that.

I save all my data throughout the year and start on Turbo Tax in December. I work on it, using the step-by-step process for the most part. This year I worked on inserting my data for 2 1/2 months. I always review every worksheet and form and print out copies of 'as filed' and all worksheets. 143 pages this year!

i have used turbo tax for years. It works well for me and my company. However, last year we go hacked and lost everything. My back up was also compromised and useless. Also, we changed to windows 11 and the turbo tax would not download. The lady at turbo tax walked me through all of it and got it downloaded just fine. So, it worked well for me again. Just did not have old files to bring forward. So, make sure you have good back up. Thanks to the lady at Turbo tax. stan

I have used TurboTax for over 20 years and have always been happy with how it works ant its accuracy. Considering the complexity of completing one's tax returns (federal and state) having the TurboTax Interface guide you along is the best approach, short of paying an accountant to do your returns. The only disappointment was the removal of the Its Deductible software. I have not found a comparable substitute for it.

Turbo tax has user interface problem. At the end when we try to file our state tax return, it does not ask us to enter our credit card. Instead, it asks us to enter our billing address. The dialog box is too big so we cannot see the action button at the bottom. The credit card does not go through and we don't know why and don't know how we can correct it.

I've been using Home & Business for decades. The last couple years, I've run into issues that were new to the product that has caused some frustration. This year, I was e-filing my return (more than 1 state), and walked through the entire process including payment. When I went to transmit my return, I received a notice saying I needed to install an update before I could transmit. I had to perform the update and then repeat all the steps for filing over again. The second time, I went to transmit and received a notice that I had a field marked as estimated. Then I had to fix that. Finally, I was able to transmit. In the past, you would do a review, correct errors, then the software would ask you save. After that, it would tell you to do an update, save again. After the updates were installed, you were able to file the return with no rework. This was extremely frustrating. Other than that, I was happy with the product. All the forms I needed were available and the state forms were easy to complete.

The person who decided not to provide access to It's Deductible should be terminated, Not only did that decision took away important functionality, but it was done without advising customers of this and lowering the price accordingly for the lost functionality. This is a bad decision which was compounded by the fact that the software offered an alternative methodology for valuing the donations which did not became available until late February or early March. More than half of the filing time was lost and forcing the customers to look for alternative methods for valuing the donations which sometimes indluding incurring in additional expenses. Shame on you

it doesn't let you import w2's like it use to. It should allow the same basic functions that a tax preparer software has. It should auto fill the state information on the w2 so you don't have to keep adding it manually. I think this was the worse year that I have used your software. No that is not a challenge to make it worse next year. It should transfer your child's information to the state 529. it should allow copy and paste. All basic functions are not an option

it crashed twice and lost all information, on the third try it didn't copy my w-2 and had enter it manually. it went past the entry spot and when I check the total income that's when I found it did not enter the 2025 w-2. also it is hard to find the 1099 misc for the ak pfd even though it showed at the beginning it transferred it from last years.

I have used this product for years but this year a clinch kept adding in a W-2 that does not exist but was automatically added. This caused a real problem as I had not received a W-2 form for additional statutory income. I finally was able to file listing a zero. I hope I don't get audited!
