Turbo Tax was fairly easy to use. Some of the features were difficult to access, including how to print. Would also like to have the ability to print individual screens, especially through the final stages of payment, refund, and successful filing notification.

I have used TurboTax for well over a decade. I was disappointed in this year's version. I have a full-time housekeeper and had to file paper copies of the W2 and W3. If I can file my return electronically, why can't I also file these forms electronically? I also had problems with reporting my required minimum distribution (RMD). I believe I only entered the information once, but TurboTax created a form indicating that my RMD was twice the actual amount and assessed me the requisite penalty. The penalty remained even when I tried deleting and re-entering my RMD information. I had to go into the form and manually delete the excess payment and penalty information. TurboTax also does not question whether there are duplicate entries when entries are made that are identical to information already imported. TurboTax is good, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Turbo Tax Home & Business - Desktop was excellent in covering all the features needed for a self-employed worker. This is the fourth year I have used the product. Only issues was the use of "key chain" for the program = it was no clear what "password" the program was asking for. I had to call and get help [which was excellent]. It was the desktop computer sign on password to gain access to needed pass code. The 2025 version was very easy to use and like years 2024, 2023, & 2022.

Could not upload documents here like we could on the regular website version. The program waited and provided a 1099 in my error check after I had already input all of the information. (the company did not provide me one directly). If this is an option why not provide it up front? Ended up doubling my income and had to be corrected.

Not good. No one told me I could never again download turbotax desktop unless I used Google Chrome—a ver insecure platform that comes with many ways fro all sorts of nonsense companies to get your data. I sent a few hours on the phone trying to download my desktop version, which I have been using since 2013. I use MAC and am up to date, I even bought a new mac this year so I could continue to do taxes with you. But when it came finally to filing, I was not permitted to get the supposedly free audit help because I do not use Keychain, and did not have a keychain code with which to add this option. Only by checking NO would the request get out of the way so I could file.

Used to rate you at the top. I dropped you down to Average at best right now after my bad experience this yearI have been a long-term user of Turbo Tax (20+ years) - this is the first year I had technical issues using it. I use a Mac PC - there were technical issues opening my documents while working on my taxes (across 3 days). I have the newer Mac PC, well above the minimum technical specs required by TurboTax (Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.4). Lots of complaints on the internet. I have to delete the TurboTax Home & Business app to Trash, reinstall, clear the trash, shut off file sharing, etc. Recommendations from the internet help sites, not TurboTax "expert" - I just hope in years going forwardTurboTax figures out how to work with Apple and clean-up the the technical issues - this product should not have those kinds of issues.

Mostly a good product, but each year there's one bug or another that sucks up all my time. It's not clear how to report the bug, and every year the options change about how to get a call-back for tech support. This year's desktop version replaced the "search" function with a useless robot... so, for example, if you wanted info on a particular form, you used to be able to type the form number into search. Now if you do that, a robot tells you that it doesn't know what you're talking about but wouldn't you rather read a bunch of forum posts on completely different things. The product is always so close but yet so far...

Things I hate about using turbo tax is 1. my dad helped me file my taxes and you made us both buy separate copies of your software. That is not how you advertise it. 2. The donation calculator is no longer included, and we had to list the cost of all our donations manually. 3. You charge extra for state preparation and for electronic filing. After we paid so much for the software you nickel and dimed us for another couple hundred more.

The inputs were easier to use this year than last year's version. However - as it seems every year there is an input where if you make an input you cannot remove or edit it. This would be on schedule K-1 line 17 code. If the s corporation has a loss - you should be able to input 0 or leave it blank. The application will not allow it.

I appreciate the carry forward of repetitive information from year to year. It does make it easier when not to go hunting for previous information. It is also helpful to have the comparison inputs from the previous year to make sure inputs are not overlooked.
