Unfortunately, each year the program itself is more difficult to negotiate. I USE computer programs, I am not a programmer and of late the program is more responsive for a programmer and not the general public. I contacted 3 different assistants and all were extremely helpful and polite, but as I have a MacBook, they had difficulty helping me complete the program.

very buggy, got into strange lop if you went back and fixed something. Also it always generate extra forms even though you went back and cancelled the entry. make you wonder what other excess info it is generating. feeling less and less trust as I use the product.

Turbo Tax is generally a great product. However, the fact that Turbo Tax could only run on Win11 this year was brutal for me. My Win10 computer had almost but not quite the hardware sufficient to support a Win11 upgrade and I had to buy a brand new computer at the last minute just to do my taxes. This really stressed me out. It is also frustrating because I now have two computers in front of me when I really only need one. Online TT is not an option for me for many practical reasons - too many to list here.

I engaged in an extended conversation with a representative who helped me get to the correct product. I purchased the Deluxe version and found it was not what I needed but could not return to the store since I had opened and used the license code so I purchased the Premier. Turbo Tax agent sent me a refund. Had to upgrade to Home and Business, and was discounted $10 for that.

In general I am happy with turbo tax. What I am not happy with - is its ability to handle military spouses who work in a state with state income tax. There is no state where an Active Duty Military - who state of domicile is elsewhere - that has to pay income tax in a state just because they are stationed there. Having to go create a whole other tax return with just the military spouses information - in order to get a state tax return - which then cannot be filed electronically - because she can't file the federal return that had to be created just makes the state tax return work - is ridiculous. It feels like be discriminated against. Having to file a paper return and wait 12 weeks for a refund is not reasonable.

Started with the On-Line version this year. Did NOT like it. Almost done and I went back to doing it all over again with the desktop version. Something didn't make sense and found that I had 'imported' vanguard data that I already had entered. Have a big problem with needing a separate field to list what the IRS calculated RMD basis for each account SEPARATE from what I happened to withdraw to achieve the combination of my QCD and my RMD. Has to search for the QCD (it is only listed as Charity - not QCD) entry. No simple way to see total of all my accounts that require an RMD, and what my RMD & QCD were.

I have used Turbotax Home and Business for many years. This year was the first year that I would encounter an error when I go to pay for the State. It would not let me proceed. Upon numerous conversations with Turbotax and trying some things on my end, it still would not let me put in my card information to charge the state e file, therefore I had to mail them in, something I haven't had to do in many years. Please fix whatever this issue is, because I won't be using Turbotax again unless it's figured out.

The new display of interest, dividends, and brokerage is a disaster. Having multiple accounts with the same brokerage form, I was not able to identify which account I was accessing. I hope they revert back to showing a list of accounts with enough details to identify the account. If I see the same layout next year, I'll probably switch to another tax software.

I've used TurboTax Home and Business for years filing single, but using TurboTax Home and Business filing married jointly is not exactly straightforward. My wife and I have small businesses and after I input her business information I then had trouble trying to find where to add in my business information. After struggling a bit I finally figured it out, but please make it easier for people to navigate to where they need to be.

Long time user and first time any problem w/ uploading turbotax and saving the in progress return. Directions, if any, for doing so were unclear. I now have two TT on my computer and had to doublecheck that the return that is being e-filed was the complete one. On other words, more of a hassle this year.
