Turbotax has continued to be easy to use. And it seems thorough through the interview process. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts was that they lost a really useful feature for someone who itemizes. The ItsDeductible feature. Now it makes charitable donation calculations hard again. Bummer that they took a step backwards in functionality.

Had completed 95% of my 2025 return, only the actual transfers to the retirement account were outstanding. TurboTax application installed an update and I lost all of my progress and had to start over from scratch. Then I was unable to edit the value for self-employed health insurance without going directly to the Forms backup worksheet. Why is not an option available in the step-by-step menus?

The internet requirements make it quite a chore and I will most likely seek a different alternative next year. I have used turbo tax for over 20 years and always buy the desk top version because i live on a large farm without internet. Additionally, the new "two factor authentication" was a VERY inconvenient surprise. I originally used my landline for the phone number and never changed it, causing me to spend hours on the phone with customer service until I got someone to go to my house and answer the phone while I was in town at an internet location. Ended up having to do this AGAIN for STATE download. Your people assume every business has internet, but were you too busy eating to consider that most farms do not? Cows don't live on Main Street, USA and the federal government still considers internet "Entertainment" as is Cable TV. Hence local providers are not required to provide service (electricity and wired telephone ARE mandated by federal law to be provided as necessities). Satellite internet is expensive and doesn't work in poor weather, which is the only time I am inside. Although this may be the "Digital Era" of the Oil Age, feeding humans is the single most important thing since the beginning of existence and will be as long a mankind is around.

The one glitch is in not driving us to the 1099K earlier in the process. By the time you ask, it makes it look like it adds to our gross income. The last two years I've had to remember to adjust our none 1099 business income down by the amount we receive on the 1099K. You used to ignore it so it was reported correctly.

1. I had completed my taxes and TurboTax said i needed to update for my state taxes. i updated ad my tax record was not saved. TurboTax did not say to save my file. when TurboTax came back up my return was gone. I had to re-enter all my data again. I when from a refund of $800+ to owing $379. I was very upset. TurboTax should save after each section automatically so this doesn't happen. 2. AMT section should instructions how to enter the amount. I was very confusing and i had to keep entering numbers until TurboTax would accept the entry. I don't know if it was correct of not. 3. Why do additional state returns cost so much? I'm not happy about that.

After so many years with TurboTax, I did get very frustrated this year. Several factors, including: 1- Deductions for non-child disabled elderly parents are no longer available, or so severely limited by the new government regime that only the rich and upper middle class can take the deduction. 2- It took me 2 days to try to get the forms transmitted since there was a 1095-A document that was not correctly completed by the respective insurance company, causing a loop in the software. 3- Re: #2 above, I contacted the live support and back and forth removing the form, reloading it several times, finding that the 3 columns need to have correct data, but PENNIE only entered columns A and B. 4- Live support was excellent, and I strongly suggest using the team since our corrupt government is too busy stealing from the poor to enrich the billionaires, as they continue to remove deductions for the poor and middle class.

I have used Turbo Tax for years. One common issue experienced is even though selecting "walk me through" it seems there are always details skipped over that I must revisit. HOWEVER, this is my only complaint and minimal in the larger scheme of tax preparation.

Used to rate you at the top. I dropped you down to Average at best right now after my bad experience this yearI have been a long-term user of Turbo Tax (20+ years) - this is the first year I had technical issues using it. I use a Mac PC - there were technical issues opening my documents while working on my taxes (across 3 days). I have the newer Mac PC, well above the minimum technical specs required by TurboTax (Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.4). Lots of complaints on the internet. I have to delete the TurboTax Home & Business app to Trash, reinstall, clear the trash, shut off file sharing, etc. Recommendations from the internet help sites, not TurboTax "expert" - I just hope in years going forwardTurboTax figures out how to work with Apple and clean-up the the technical issues - this product should not have those kinds of issues.

Love the ability and help TurboTax provides with filling taxes independently. I have used the desktop version in the past but my 2025 Mac system had some glitches this year that made some of the work through complicated with errors I had to manually fix in the files themselves.

Been nothing but trouble. Tax return keeps getting rejected even though the information is correct. I've already paid to you efile it and now I have to print it all out and mail it. Gonna need a refund from Turbo Tax. I also did my son's taxes on here and they keep getting rejected too. Gonna need a refund for that efile that I can't do either. What a crock!
