The TurboTax Home & Business - Desktop version worked very well for me and was stable (did not crash or get hung up.) The user interface was familiar from my use of TurboTax in prior years, and provides both an easy step-by-step question and answer interface, and a separate Forms view that permits direct inspection and data entry/corrections capability. In a few cases the questions asked was kind of vaguely stated, but there were often explanatory pop-ups that could provide more explanation. I also ordered the Live Tax Advice where I could request a phone call to talk to a live human tax advisor, and that was a very helpful feature I used about five times.

I've used Turbo Tax for over 20 years, the Home and Business version as I'm a small business owner. I find it easy to use especially now that I'm familiar with the way it works. However, it is very, very frustrating that I can't file the state tax form for free. I'm owed $40 refund from Iowa but would have to pay $20 to receive that refund. That reduces my refund to $20. If I file by mail, it would be over 30 pages of forms, both federal and state forms. Ridiculous. It does make me rethink using Turbo Tax. But I'm tied to your program with how it gathers my info from previous years which is easy.

I tried doing my taxes 'on-line', this was confusing....I spent two days filling out forms only to find out that I could not do my 'Business' on line. Called Turbotax 'help' line and the agent was very nice and explained to me why I could not do on line.....i had purchase "Home and Business" and downlond to my PC. It was much easier when I would buy Turbo Tax on a disc.....that made more sense.

It's a very good product to work with but there are some questions that are very confusing. Also, once you put an answer in some question and you put the wrong answer and you want to correct it, it does not let you. In the past, I used turbo tax for self employment and if ask a question, do you have a employer that did not give you a 1099 and you could answer yes or not and it walk you through. This year it did not have that question. I have to call turbo tax to walk me through. I don't know how long they are going to take to help me walk through the phone call or chat. This is the first time I going to call turbo tax to see how fast or slow they help me with that. Will see?

Absolutely unacceptable that third party downloads from financial institutions are so confusing this year. Furthermore, the incompatibility of TAXPACKAGESUPPORT.COM is also unacceptable, Especially when I pay more for a version of the program which is supposed to do this!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. This year, it got stuck on one form when trying to transmit the returns that it wanted me to correct. There was a misspelling on the Turbo Tax page (disappointing), but it also gave no guidance on what would remove the "error". Really disappointing...

I did not find the 2025 Turbo Tax as easy to navigate as in previous years. Also, I encountered a problem at the point of "analyzing return." There were two very insignificant entries to be corrected on the tax payment worksheet and the federal carry over worksheet. No matter what I tried, it would not let me make the change. So I called your help line and waited on hold for 25 minutes. The person I reached came onto my computer but could not correct the problem and put me on hold for about 20 minutes. Then the call disconnected. It was very frustrating.

This year has bugs with the Education Credits. I called to report. I had to waste time going through Turbo Tax if this, then check this. We did that. The issue was the flow of answered questions. "Yes", pursuing degree on the required page flowed through as "no" on the page that mattered to the calculation. After all that, I get the response that, yes, this issue has been reported. Then I get a closed ticket and request for my opinion. I go back in, and it is not fixed. Urgh! No. Ticket should not be closed. I call a few days later to ask if same issue is showing on Deluxe as the Home and Business. Again, some runaround... may I see your screen. yes, on so on. Issue, not resolved. Finally a week later, I think, maybe if I use step by step instead of forms input. mmm I removed the 1098-T links, deleted the people and student worksheets and used the step by step method instead of forms. It worked. I still haven't heard if Turbo tax has resolved the questionnaire flow issue. And then, I just filed my return (the 3rd), after my mom and daughter's, and it tells me that I have used all 5 of my federal filings which is not true. I have 2 more to file. I hope that will not be another time sucker to fix, but I'm not holding my breath! Ok, it's filed, but it wouldn't let me print without telling them why I don't add their live audit/audit function....mmmmmm See above.

Importing information into TurboTax was a nightmare. I had to repeat it many times and then where were errors that I had to manually correct. I have requested for YEARS that charities appear in alphabetical order rather than randomly. TurboTax ignores me.

I appreciate the carry forward of repetitive information from year to year. It does make it easier when not to go hunting for previous information. It is also helpful to have the comparison inputs from the previous year to make sure inputs are not overlooked.
