It works for me and I did 2 farms, a real estate investment, and an out of country filer. I've only found a few things where it does'nt ask proper questions to get you to the right form.. One being schedule FC-a on the Wisconsin form and another that doesn't give you a way to enter info on the first page of 4797.. Otherwise it works well.

Accuracy: when I imported files from Schwab, it created multiple empty files. In another return, it seemed to interpret my composite 1099-R as four different forms. I doubt this year's TurboTax is accurate. Compatibility: it required about five attempts to import my forms from by brokerage. It wouldn't let me import a PDF of my W-2. Compatibility was poor. Features: it's hard to figure out where the numbers are going and why. It's difficult to navigate. Interface: I had to manually enter my W-2. When I imported my composite 1099-R form, it seemed to generate four files in TurboTax, but the program wouldn't let me view the data in the files to see if they were identical. Reporting: I don't know what that means. I dislike the AI features in TurboTax. I paid for TurboTax to do things myself. T

Online was horrendously horrible and for stupid, easy taxes. This download version works but really miss the disc one could purchase. DO NOT GIVE OPTION to go online for home/business customers. THAT WAS HUGE MISTAKE. This worked way better. Stop making life difficult please for Mac users by making us upgrade new software and equipment each year. Please, we beg you or HR Block here we come!

Had completed 95% of my 2025 return, only the actual transfers to the retirement account were outstanding. TurboTax application installed an update and I lost all of my progress and had to start over from scratch. Then I was unable to edit the value for self-employed health insurance without going directly to the Forms backup worksheet. Why is not an option available in the step-by-step menus?

Turbo Tax is a helpful way for a person who understands numbers and taxes to avoid the cost of a professional accountant - and learn about money management. The two areas that were cumbersome were 1) new format for Charitable Deductions' goods valuation and 2) being able to easily locate and get back to Schedule C. Both could be improved.

The software itself if OK, but it is unconscionable that Intuit deisigned the software to require the ultimate or penultimate version of macOS, given that Apple purposefully makes newer versions of their software incompatible with slightly older versions of their hardware. That is, using TurboTax required a software that required a new computer purchase! There is nothing that special about TurboTax what would make purchasing a new computer required. If Intuit keeps up this practice, then this is the last year I will be purchasing their software. And have been using their software for over two decades.

I'm disappointed with the "Fix it" process for rejected returns. My 1040 was rejected by the IRS for a missing Identity Protection PIN (Error IND-181-01), but TurboTax failed to prompt me for the PIN during the resubmission flow. It allowed me to resubmit without making any actual changes, leading to a second automatic rejection. I had to manually dig through the "Other Tax Situations" menu to find the input field because the software didn't guide me there. This loop wasted significant time and should be an easy fix for the developers.

The accuracy of the computations is most helpful and the compatibility of the Program from year to year assists enormously. I did not enter any questions as I prefer speaking to an individual versus typing questions due to the fact that "speech" provides better communication and prevents misunderstanding of inquiries' & answers' detail besides saving time. Additionally, I would like for Turbo Tax to re-institute the use of "Tutorials" as was utilized in earlier versions as I have been using the Turbo Tax Program since 2000.

I find that some of the categories I am afraid not to put even a zero value in. Then when the checklist- review comes up I have all these issues that need to be resolved. Yet in the checklist-review correction thing, you cannot get rid of the zero mistake and leave it empty. you have to spend bucket loads of time finding the thing in "forms" or sometimes "walk me through everything". This could be solved by just letting you make the correction in the checklist-review, or just say in the "walk me through everything" that you need to leave it blank. I'm no tax expert obviously, but I have used Turbotax Home and Business for years. Please make it easier for us dummies.

Every year my taxes are rejected the first time. it is the same issue every year. Although I don't have children I qualify for a small EIC credit but this requires form 8862 and for some reason turbo tax doesn't automatically fill this form out and I have to go to "open form" , fill out manually, resubmit my taxes.
