Normally review TurboTax Home & Business with 4 or 5 stars. 2 stars for 2025 because of the bugs affecting (or lack of features to support) ICHRAs and the healthcare marketplace. I had to mail hard copy returns after making manual corrections to form 1095-A and 8962. TurboTax kept forcing a premium tax credit refund even though I am not eligible for the refund because I was covered by an ICHRA. Very disappointing and sucked up a ton of time!

On my first attempt doing my 2025 tax return, when I wanted to go back and add another W2 that I received, it wasn't letting me. I was clicking "update" on the personal income section and it was taking me back to h whole list with all the items. I clicked on Forms couldn't do anything still. I updated the software, even though it was asking me to update it once I was opening the program to continue my tax return, didn't help. I chatgpt and nothing helped. So, I had to create a new tax return and start all over. Please fix that.

I used TT to file my 2024 (not 2025) taxes (as well as every taxes for years) and I never received my Fed or State tax refund. I can't figure out if TT every electronically filed them. I can't find a phone number to request help other than "get tax help for $60". This is TT help. Also, for 2025, I can't enter a cc expiration date of later than Oct. And of course, my expiration date is Dec.

I've used TurboTax for years and it's pretty easy and straightforward. Easy to transfer the previous year's info into a new return to start... then update areas that I want to work on. My only recommendation is to make it easier to see where/how new tax laws (e.g., no tax on social security) are applied. In my case, it wasn't clear until I saw my printed 1040-SR.

If you have to leave the step by step instructions process it is extremely difficult to get back to the same place with the same questions to be answered. I had extreme difficulty with QBI (I wanted to make sure that I understood it completely) and Form 4835. At first I was unable to complete Form 4835 because it was still being worked on by the IRS, THEN I never received notification from Turbo Tax that the Form was available. It then took several hours to get the numbers input correctly. I had originally input directly on the Form 4835 then attempted to go back and create the form via step by step. I should have never input directly on to the Form 4835. Reconciliation to step by step was a nightmare.

Turbo Tax would not let me pay my federal tax bill with a credit card. The choice of paying with a credit card is in the software, but it would not take me to the place where I could enter a credit card number!!!! This is INSANE and VERY DISAPPOINTING!! I have loved Turbo Tax up until now.m

I tried doing my taxes 'on-line', this was confusing....I spent two days filling out forms only to find out that I could not do my 'Business' on line. Called Turbotax 'help' line and the agent was very nice and explained to me why I could not do on line.....i had purchase "Home and Business" and downlond to my PC. It was much easier when I would buy Turbo Tax on a disc.....that made more sense.

I did not find the 2025 Turbo Tax as easy to navigate as in previous years. Also, I encountered a problem at the point of "analyzing return." There were two very insignificant entries to be corrected on the tax payment worksheet and the federal carry over worksheet. No matter what I tried, it would not let me make the change. So I called your help line and waited on hold for 25 minutes. The person I reached came onto my computer but could not correct the problem and put me on hold for about 20 minutes. Then the call disconnected. It was very frustrating.

I have used Turbo Tax for about twenty five years plus. It just keeps getting better! Easy to use and understand, and I LOVE how you are streamlining the Review Check. I noticed to make corrections this year was pretty straight forward, not so confusing as it can be sometimes, and insuring the Taxes are done correctly. In the past this process could be difficult, as the forms needing correction were not always easily/automatically popping up.

I tried the online version first, but I switched back to the desktop version. At times I want to know the rationale /background of some of the questions and with the desktop version it's easier to go to publications. I also like to look at worksheets and forms as I prepare the tax return and I didn't see how to do this with the online version. Finally, when it came to filling my state taxes by mail, I could not find the instructions for that, and only found instructions for e-filing. I had to go to the Virginia Department of Taxation website to read how/where to mail file.
