Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this refrigerator. The only two issues I have with this refrigerator are: 1. The water could be a little colder coming out of the door dispenser 2. When filling up glasses for water without any ice, that you wouldn't have to wait very long for the water to get cold before filling another glass with water. Some people don't add ice to their water. I like everything else about this refrigerator!

Sufficient Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although LG's Inverter Linear units appear to be a much quieter appliance in comparison to LG's conventional compressor, this is a sufficient replacement. Unfortunately, the "in the door" ice maker does not fall into the; sufficient category. While conserving space, compromises must be made. In general, like all of my LG appliances, my complaints are minimal.

Nice Fridge If It Lasts

I have to say that I do like this fridge, but we only purchased it because the LG side-by-side that we purchased less than 5 years ago died. (Model LSXS26366S). Needless to say we aren't too happy. This is your last shot LG. We had to have the ice maker replaced in the side-by-side less than a year after we purchased it. So far this fridge is working fine. Only time will tell. We feel a refrigerator should last longer than 4 years. Don't you???

Water taste odd

I replaced an LG refrigerator that was a great product, we had for 18 years. This model had several issues: 1) Doors do not close by itself. Unless manually pushed to close, doors swing open. 2) MAJOR ISSUE: Water dispensed taste like plastic/chemicals. I ensured we used PEX waterline and my plumbing do not have any issues. I believe water that stays in some container in refrigerator picks up something from the materials used is my suspicion. 3) Model also do not dispense ice in freezer. (I didn't know this till refrigerator was delivered)

First, please flush the system by pressing and releasing the dispenser pad at intervals of 30 seconds on and 60 seconds off until you dispense 2.5 gallons of water. This should take about 5 minutes. Should you still have this issue after performing this step, the issue may be due to a filter that needs replacement. When was the last time you replaced the water filter? A bad water taste can be an indication that the water filter needs to be replaced. If the water filter has not been replaced in the past 4 months, water or ice may develop an unpleasant taste or odor. Please note that once the filter is replaced, be sure to dispense 2.5 gallons of water and discard the first 2 bins of ice. We just bought the fridge about a month ago, so far all working as it should. Nice looking, love how big it is on the inside. Only thing hung would be nice is to have a light on the outside when filling up with water and ice so you can see what buttons your pressing.

Have had the fridge about a month now. The interior setup is very usable. I like how the icemaker is installed on the inside of the door because it gives you more shelf room for storage. It's also easy to dump ice in the storage bin in the freezer compartment. The filter is also located conveniently for replacement. Overall I am happy with the purchase.
