I have used Scott's products for over 40 years and have always been very satisfied by the results. The few times I used a cheaper store brand, I had problems with lawn burning and fair results. Recently I used an old Scotts product (probably 14 or 15 years old) that had hidden behind more recent fertilizer bags, that had hardened in the bag. I spent time to break up the clumps so the spreader could handle it. The results from this old product were significantly better than the new formulations. Also, the spreader settings worked well, which they do not for the new formulations. Although the products are good, it appears from my experience, the old formulations performed better and the spreader setting actually worked.

We've been using Scott's Turf Builder for years. And it never stops producing the greenest grass in our community. It's easy to use and the results are tremendous. Living in Florida we are exposed to high levels of heat in the summer. Regular application of the Turf Builder protects our lawn and is safe for our dogs.

I graduated to Ultra Turfbuilder some years ago, but it was hard to find. Then I couldn't find it at all, and dropped back to punt with Super Turfbuilder. Now I have trouble finding that! So I'm relegated (retrograded# to regular Turfbuilder again. But it is better than any other lawn fertilizer out there and I've tried a lot, including a couple since Super Turfbuilder got hard to locate. My last application however didn't get much response from the lawn. The huge bag was over a year old, and I was finishing it off, so maybe the fertilizer degrades substantially over time, though the fertilizers we used on farm crops back in the day didn't seem to do that. I keep hoping Ultra Turfbuilder will come back one day; it greened as fast #or faster# as regular or Super, but lasted longer #about 3 months# and had enough iron that no Ironite was needed to darken the green. For some reason Turfbuilder + weed killer is everywhere out there, but I don't have a big weed issue and prefer squirting weed killer on individual weeds as I spot them while mowing. It minimizes pollution of our local drain systems and waterways. Weed & Feed is just wasteful money-wise anyway if you only have a few scattered weeds. I've yet to try GreenMax. It may be more like Ultra TB, but when I've seen it in stores #rarely) it's pretty expensive so I passed on it. I'll only try it when I can find it sale-priced and reasonable.

I applied Scots Turf Builder Lawn Food the same day I thatched, plug aerated, and over seeded part of my lawn with RTF Fescue. Within 14 days the lawn was noticeably better. Very pleased with the purchase of Scotts Turf Builder Lawn fertilizer with 2% Iron. I applied during the summer and did not burn the lawn as it so indicated on the bag. The results were very, very good. My grass was green the rest of the summer without much watering. My lawn was weed free!! Plan to use Scotts Winter Fest in a few weeks.

My lawn has been the envy of my neighbors ever since we moved in. Our front yards were hydro-seeded over mostly clay soil by the developer. I reseed each year with Scott's Turf builder with grass seed in the fall and it stays green and rich year around. I feed it Scott's Turf Builder regularly and a couple of years ago I started adding a feeding of it with Scott's Weed & Feed. I've had great results. I cut my lawn high, three inches, as per the recommendation of the Ag teacher where I taught and this time of year while my neighbors lawns are scorched with yellow and brown patches by the summer heat mine is so green some of them stop by and ask me how I do it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product for years and the end results have been great. I have tried other brands, but have not had the success as using the Scotts products. I will continue to use this so long as I have a lawn to maintain.

I purchased 2 bags of Turf Builder for a mid-summer application on my personal residence lawn as well as the lawn at my place of work. A lack of rain of late had caused the grass to start looking brown and straggly. The weather forecast, however, showed an extended period of wet weather ahead, so I waited until the lawns had a couple days of some showers and then put the fertilizer down. A few more days of rain and both lawns look awesome. Both have a deep green color and are significantly more lush than they were before. This was able to be noticed in a matter of days. Certainly credit can be given to the rain, but the Turf Builder clearly made vast improvements to the overall appearance of both lawns. Love Scotts. Quick and easy.

You simply cannot find a better lawn care product. I've used Scotts for years and each spring, I continue to have the finest lawn in the neighborhood. By utilizing a year 'round program and keeping to the schedule, the results I get are nothing short of wonderful. I had been following the lawn care program recommended by a well known local radio show host. While the results were good, it proved to be quite expensive and the product was not sold in many stores. Scott’s is carried at most big box stores so I decided to give it a try. This spring we have used the crabgrass preventer (which we were a bit late in applying) and the weed and feed. There is a little bit of crabgrass coming up (which I attribute to the late application) soni pull it by hand, however, it is not the problem it has been in years past. As far as the dandelions, wild violets and clover, which were our biggest weed problem, they are almost eradicated from our lawn. Considering the heavy, record setting amount of rainfall we have had this spring, I could not be happier with the results and the price. Thank you Scott’s, you’ve gained a loyal customer.
