I did work with one of your online experts who patiently worked through the entries that were causing the problem. Together we found the entries that needed to be corrected. We have both sent you suggestions for improvement next year. I've use Turbo Tax for the past 20 some years and appreciate all the auto carry forward totals that would be impossible to keep track of manually. Thanks again.

The handling of foreign tax credits is horrible. The instructions seem to encourage skipping the credit altogether. Following the instructions requires multiple passes through the calculations to build a file that can be e-filed. This is not professional and does not build confidence in the final answer. Another issue is it is nearly to impossible to match the 1099 downloaded to Turbo Tax with the pdf download so that I know how to answer the question. In addition, question were asked to fill in numbers that Turbo Tax should know from the downloaded 1099.

the software was good. but every time I started the software it needed to check for updates. this took a long time and usually I had to exit and re-enter turbo tax at least two times to get the software update to work. In the past you had an option to start turbo tax without checking for updates. either get the updates working better or bring back the option to start without updating. thank you

2025 must have been a tough year. TurboTax Premier (Mac desktop) was a mess on first delivery. Installation failed repeatedly, except when it didn't and put nothing on the screen, or got stuck trying to update from within the app itself. It took almost the whole tax season for a fully-capable app and all the necessary tax forms. This is the latest I've been able to confidently file my federal taxes since I started using MacInTax, then TurboTax for you taxes.

i have been working with turbotax for 20 years and i have had hiccups over the years but the supporting tax experts have always been able to provide the required support to get me through the issue . This year there was a minor issue in filing my New York taxes but after some sleuthing with the tax expert we were able to solve the issue and all is good. the software is great and makes data input easy and intuitive. the interface is easy to follow and intuitive . The software includes all the necessary questions to complete the tax filing and make it as easy as possible with a guide to answer questions that may arise

I would give it zero stars if I could. Made it all the way to file my taxes and then it said I couldn't file because an update was needed. When the program closed for the update I lost all of my work and had to start completely over!! Terrible and will consider another platform next year.

This has been the worst TurboTax experience I have ever had after many, many, many years of using. Some information was available in uploaded forms but still had to be entered this year. Have not had to in past years. The upselling has got to stop!!

Turbo Tax Premier is unable to process inherited Roth IRA's. It processes everything as having been inherited after 2020 but even then reverts to loops where it confuses information and does not provide input for the deceased. It taxes the entire amount. RMD's? Turbo Tax is unable to separate RMD's for regular IRA, Roth IRA, and inherited Roth IRA's. Very frustrating. Using the phone in chat feature is a waste of time. The wait time is outrageous and the tech does not know the answers. Sharing my screen with someone I do not know who does NOT know what they are doing is not a pleasant experience. Give me directions to complete the changes I need to make without sharing my screen. Update your features. Use the current laws. This year's version feels like some AI chatbot driven creation. I have little confidence in the product.

You all are just not good at what you do. You are lucky that you're basically the only option because I despise using you all every year for my taxes. Be better. Don't make people update their product mid-tax filing so that they then have to redo everything all over again.

TT hit a "snag" after removing IRA contribution. I was unable to resolve the snag, yet I was able to complete the return (passed final checks). Net result: higher AGI and lower tax (despite no change in filing status) - seems highly suspicious. I captured pdfs before/after snag to prove it.
