Hyperlinks to get more information appear to just go to the main TurboTax page. There an additional search is needed, rather than connecting to relevant information. Additionally, search results on the TurboTax page are less relevant than in the past. Also, tax return printing features are not as good as in previous versions. Printing of the tax forms for link defaults to printing of a copy for home records. Additionally, When printing is done, it doesn't ask if you want to save a personal copy, so you have to click back a low to get there.

The HSA section needs a bit of help. I am on a family plan, and it only wants to know my contribution and if I also made contribution to my wife's HSA. By ignoring it an starting from scratch rather than try and import my return from last year, I was able to get it to work without telling my that I overpayed and I either need to withdraw or get charged 6%. I also have an under 25 son non dependent that is on the HSA plan, which I am guessing is what might have been causing some of the problems.

My overall experience with TurboTax Premier was positive; however, I encountered a system issue when I needed to log in after ending a previous session. I was asked if I wanted to install the software each time I logged in. In addition, there was a counter that was decremented by one each time I logged in. I was concerned I would not be able to log in if I exceeded the five log ins that were available to me. To avoid program log in issues, I kept the program live on my computer.

After all the questions and form filling I get to the end and e-file only to have Turbo Tax tell me I need to mail in a form (8453) . Little to no explanation why that wasn't included in e-file. Very disappointing. Now I have to mail stuff in anyway. So much for the convenience of e-filing! I will think long and hard before I use Turbo Tax next year. The competitors are at least as good now days (and cheaper).

TurboTax used to be rather simple. t is now complex and doesn't cover all I'm paying for, like covering K-1 specific line items, and what needs to be installed. Same with completing stock data...had over 10 errors looking for whether a line item is a digital asset.

Transmission of data from financial institutions was a mess this year, more work on users part to correct. Some error messages vague ---For example, a field that required info [caused by data capture failure as per above] was not highlighted--- no clarification of the issue. Errors popped up in final checks, and at times disappeared simply by employing error check repeatedly. Glitchy As a 20-plus year customer, this was the worst!

TurboTax is a DOG when it comes to the Virginia Income Tax Forms. It asks confusing questions about the taxation of U.S. Bonds in VA, it enters information in the wrong fields, it has a bug is Form 1116 Worksheet which has not been fixed in a month. Better to skip VA information and enter the info yourself under Forms. The US part is ok.

2025 - harder to use... less friendly help... windings cause interface problems depending on resolution. Was I able to get my taxes done. Yes - but I literally spent an entire week working on them trying to find what turned out to be a check box. Just like the app - even the "My Review" is slow. If you type to fast it loses letters and keystrokes. Better engineering and more testing needed.

I did not get prompted that I had forgotten to enter form 1095-A, and this omission was not picked up during error check. As a result, my returns were rejected, and I had to refile. Also, I had to manually enter figures for the form 1095-A. Why can this form not be imported directly into TurboTax?

The software for 2025 is glitchy and had frequent delays on moving to the next page when clicking the "continue" or "next" buttons. In some cases, all entered data was lost and we were returned to the beginning of the income or deduction section. Overall, generated a seemingly accurate return, but the user experience for 2025 was not great.
