Horrible

The online version doesn't let you drill down to forms. Bugs and errors in energy credit area caused me to go back to desktop version which corrected problems as soon as I changed to desktop. Searching is worthless. It felt like the software was just a tool to sell their other features and I was using premium with basic return. I will most likely not use the online version again.

Not bad but not close to 100%

You have a bug with 882, part 2, line B is not getting populated. Took me a long time to figure that out... Was not fun. Also, I could not file jointly married for federal and seperatly for state. The state pipeline just didn't ask me about my wife seperatly from myself.

2025 product is terrible

This year's product is horrible. "Needs review" sends you into an endless loop of unnecessary downloads. The constant interruptions to buy upgrades are really annoying and distracting. This product is NOT easy to use and NOT user friendly. Come on, Intuit, you can do better (because you have in the past).

THS IS REALLY SUCKS!

We've been trying to e-file our State of Wisconsin taxes for over 2 weeks. They keep getting rejected. The State of Wisconsin helped us correct the first error but the later rejections give no reason. The State of Wisconsin keeps telling us that TurboTax has to up date their software to reflect how Wisconsin is handling Retiree's income and to wait a couple of days and refile. The first up date was supposed to be on 2/13/2026 & the last update was yesterday 2/20/2026. We refile & keep getting rejected. No reasons as to why we are getting rejected. Could you please fix the problem? Getting real tired of the process & I am not a happy camper.

Turbotax is OK.

The CA state return walkthru is poor. For such a large state I would expect it to be more like the Fed. The MA was somewhat better when I used to use that. There is not a good way to track your accrued interest for bonds which would be nice. Or at least asking about it. And charging $25 for e-file a state return is robbery. NY may have a lot of problems but outlawing this seems appropriate.

Excellent, except for certain New York returns

Turbo Tax is the best for downloading financial investments tax reports, and otherwise excellent for return preparation, except for certain New York returns. A Turbo Tax pop-up at the end of New York return preparation said it is unable to e-file a New York joint return of a resident and a non-resident, and that, in violation of New York's e-filing requirement, I must flle that return on paper. New York Dept. of Taxation told me last year there is no New York rule against e-filing such a return. Turbo Tax appears to have a defect.

Good but sometimes frustrating

E-filing was tedious. It required a passkey to gain access to Turbotax in order to pay by credit card. Once paid, it took 3 times to check for updates, and then the Turbotax servers were busy! Very frustrating. Regarding the program, there were no provisions to see where numbers were coming from nor to edit, as in the older versions.

eFile Payment Process BROKEN

My only issue is the Intuit account login you have to do to pay for eFile of the state return. The login is a royal pain and has repeatedly been an issue for several years now. The system NEVER sent a code by email and acted like it didn't recognize my last name for an account. Also, there is not a clear way to send the code to your mobile phone. Something so simple that is totally screwed up.

There are some issues....

I have used Turbotax for quite a few years, but I did not want to e-file my state return. In the past there was no problem printing the paper copies necessary. This year, after choosing to e-file my Federal return, and successfully doing so, the software didn't give any options other than e-filing my state return. In order to print the paper copies for filing by mail, I had to go back and change the e-file option for my Federal return. I hope that works without messing up my Federal e-file. Other than that everything else worked pretty well.

Turbotax used to be awesome!!! Now sucks

Past years program was easy to interface with prepare taxes. Has become much more difficult, program kept asking for import of information from RWBaird that was already provided with first import. Also feel betrayed by the $40 processing fee for federal return, advertised as free for first 5 federal with premier. In summation, I found the whole experience this to be very frustrating and difficult.
