I've been using TurboTax for many years. I find, for my taxes, the accuracy of the calculations to be outstanding and the dropdown boxes that contain succinct descriptions of the tax code extremely helpful. However, this year some of the program changes for inputting information was a bit confusing until I understood what the program was trying to do. Also, the program crashed no less than five times! At first, I thought it was because my security software was scanning my computer when I first started but even after this was completed, the application crashed on several occasions. Other than those issues, the software worked fine and I was able to complete my taxes way ahead of schedule this year.

I have used Turbotax for many years. I found filing my taxes with your product extremely difficult this year as the returns that I originally created kept being marked as corrupted when I attempted to return to them. I eventually ended up filing my husband and my return using the on-line version of the program after several attempted using the desktop version. When I filled my son's return he never received confirmation of the returns being accepted or rejected by the federal and state tax authorities. I ended up refiling his return as we couldn't determine whether his returns had been accepted. This resulted in a double filing fee for his state taxes! I am very frustrated with this years product!

Had problems this year. Some how the software decided I had business expenses when I didn't, and wanted to know my employer for a UE form. I did not have business expenses. Also, when I decided to submit my PA state taxes later after I had selected to efile both, but I couldn't back up, so I just submitted the federal tax forms. I was forced later to efile my PA state taxes because I couldn't get out of not doing it.

TurboTax is efficient but needs to be a little more user friendly. Interchanging terms such a refund and overpayment can be confusing. additionally, if you are providing an opportunity to use an online and/or a desktop platform, they need to be seamless. The filing pin for online is 5 numbers, whereas the pin for desktop is 4 numbers. I changed to desktop when I had to verify my identity by confirming my 2024 AGI. This wasn't a problem but gave me pause to consider that there may be other inconsistencies if I continued with the online format. I also received an email that I didn't finish filing my return. I opened the email and noted that it was related to my not completing the online filing process. I completed filing with the desktop format after choosing not to use the online format and have confirmed that my returns were accepted by both State and Federal. However, I did not receive an email to that affect, again assuming that there is not a seamless transition between the two formats.

I have used TurboTax for as long as it has existed. An improvement would be to show the details for the source of 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b. The 4a & 4b IRA deductions include IRAs, (Qualified) annuities and QLACs Annuites. Lines 5a and 5b include Pensions and (Non Qualified) Annuities. You show the sources for 4a, 4b,5a and 5b all lumped together. Can you not separate the sources for 4a,4b and 5a,5b? Also, see using last year's program to estimate the estimated Tax for the current year in the review below. When there are a lot of sources for each, you have to hand calculate to check the items.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. This year the Energy Credit form 5695 caused my return to be rejected by the IRS on February 27, 2026.. I did a ton of research and many hours of my time to try and find out what happened. I found out that it was a Turbo Tax calculation error and was supposed to be fixed on March 6, 2026. It has not been fixed, and I read other people's advice to delete the form and start over. I did that and it was exactly the same. I manually entered "NO" on Line 25A to see if that would solve it. I do not know if it was accepted or rejected at this point. I am going to look for an alternative tax filing company next year. This was very stressful and disappointing.

I've used Turbo Tax for decades. This year I bought the premium package so I could import cryptocurrency information. Tubro Tax advertised that you could import CSV files directly into their software for ease of reporting and processing crypto gains/losses, however, they never got that portion of the software working. Many people are very upset about this. Your product does not work as advertised.

The easiest tax return software that I have been using since it was working under Parson's Technology. However, every year, when you install it, it asks you to read and accept a VERY LONG user agreement. First, it is not obvious to read it in entirety by an average non-law-expert person. Second, you ask us to agree that you can use and sell our most intimate financial information to ANYONE and ANY entity that you deem appropriate. So, we are faced with a difficult choice, whether not to accept and do the hard way (using another SW or do it by hand) OR submit to your complete ownership of every piece of our financial data and information. I hope some time in the near future, a regulation is passed to force you to continue offering this excellent product while PROTECTING our information instead of selling them.

problem with your software is it sometimes pulls stuff out of thin air and acts strangely. example: while going through my income it suddenly came up with wanting to declare my Canadian pension income. it's never asked that before and I've used turbo tax for years. besides I've never worked or did anything in Canada. But after adjustments it gets the job done.

This has been the worst TurboTax experience I have ever had after many, many, many years of using. Some information was available in uploaded forms but still had to be entered this year. Have not had to in past years. The upselling has got to stop!!
