I was unable to install the desktop version without creating a separate administrative id. Tried support. They couldn't figure it out. I stared using the online, but when I got the desktop setup stayed with that. Then I received numerous emails to continue with the online version. I have used Turbotax for many many years. This is the first time it did no work. If the desktop could provide an option to turn on logging during install it might have provided a developer with a clue as to what was going wrong. Normally, I would rate this 5 stars, but I lost 6-8 hours trying to install.

My experience was that in many cases,I knew more than they did and actually solved the last 3 issues keeping from being able to finish my return. One of your experts committed to follow-up with me after doing some research off-line to call me back exactly 2 hours later. They never called me back. No good!!! Also, they asked me to send them a file of last year's return, but of course couldn't tell me how to do that. Also said that they didn't have a tech department to call to find out. Not good!!!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 15 years, but your product is no longer user friendly. I am simply trying to priint my state taxes but I keep getting sales pitches, and this is VERY FRUSTRATING. It would be great if the product did it basic job, but I still have not been able to print and file my Ohio state taxes. Last year I sp[enty hours trying to figure out how to print from my Mac as did a number of your users. Next year I'm not sure I will use TurboTax.

Interview process was not as good as 2024. Summary only show limited info not full form. The auto download added account that was empty even though confirmed 2024 accounts. Download unclear what was downloaded in interest / div section. Adding QCD donations from RMD not clear. To review account as requested had to select manual download.

I read that top of the line computers with 64bit and the ESU could use windows 10. I cannot load win 11 on my hp zbook because there are too many possibilities I will lose old outlook email program and emails, and there is a chance of file loss. I had to buy a new computer to file so now i have two hp zbooks. very expensive. I will have to wait to see if irs accepts my filing and does not find any errors. It can take months because the irs does not notify filers of approval. I just have to wait months to see if they send me a letter. If I dont get a letter I will be happy and then I can rate TT

I did it all by myself. I just answered this in a previous review in the program! The taxes are essentially a plug & chug process for me. The Interest & Dividend download/presentation was much more straight forward prior to 2024(?) The current format is unnecessarily tedious to crosscheck/verify between the electronic download and hard copies. The USAA link to download Interest did not work.

I mentioned this already in another review, but I don't think that I like that the Search button now starts the "AI Chat Box Assistant". I want the choice between a true Search field and an AI chat box. The old Search field brought up instantly any forms, worksheets, instructions to which I needed to refer. The AI chat box takes too long to load and seems to bring back to broad a series of topics. I prefer the straight up, type the form number and the search box takes me straight to the link. I like the AI chat box option, but it needs to be called that nominally, not the new "Search" button. Go back to what the Search button use to do, but add a separate AI Assistant button.

Long time user and I always find it easy to use and great support when needed. This year the billing has me confused between online use and desktop. I completed my return and electronically filed it not knowing what turbo tax charge would be. I am also disappointed on not being able to upload my Its' deductible file that I saved when in formed the application was being cancelled.

Turbo tax premier Why is the question re OPM CSA plan type - why asked why not a given, Calculation of Federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) payment for 2024 in 2025 SSA not clearly worded.  Does box 5 want data from the prior year statement or of the current 2025 statement. For unknown reasons I get Canadian retirement page.in the step by step process opened. When entering new investment income, if you click on an item like US Department of Treasury to enter data - the system takes you to the investment import screen and you can't get to the item.  I had to manually start a form. The import does not allow you to cycle through multiple 1099s. You have to restart the import function again. First year of RMD wording unclear if you did take it in the first year but do soo  by December 31st instead of waiting until April of the following year, MD State: On the federal return one takes all the time to enter in which spouse in a joint filing earned which income and what portion of gains are from US government obligations but none of this information transfers into the MD form for computation of  the two income marriage deduction  or the income that is from US obligations.  You collected the data - why must I waste my time  building a separate e spreadsheet?  This really impacts the value of this product.

WHAT I LIKED? THE IMPORTING OF DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES. SAVED SO MUCH TIME ON INPUTTING INFO. NOW THE PROBLEM: A WEIRD GLITCH PREVENTS THE UPLOADING OF LAST YEAR'S TAX FORM UNTIL YOU EXIT THE PROGRAM AND RELOAD. TOOK ME 45 MINUTES OF RESEARCHING THE WEB TO DISCOVER THE REMEDY THAT SOMEONE ELSE REPORTED. EVEN TURBOTAX EXPERTS DID NOT KNOW THE ANSWER. IF THIS ISSUE HAD BEEN READILY NOTED THEN I WOULD'VE HAVE BEEN DONE EVEN SOONER.
