enhance and a billing problem

all went well, but do not like the Interest Dividend and Investment approach this year. While the accounts are organized by bank, that accounts do not show an account number, only a total value. It would be nice to have an account number or reference number to to use for referencing each individual entry, rather than $ value. Also payment for the $35 electronic submission does not allow credit card months greater than 9 to be used on windows desktop version.

TurboTax Complications

I found 2025 TurboTax very difficult to use. The downloads fromm brokage firms was easy, but too much data was loaded into TurboTax. This would normally not be a problem, however with one of my accounts (Pershing), many stock calls were purformed, resulting in many of the flags to be set wrong. This caused me hurs and hours of work trying to sort out this mess to get all of the TurboTax errors corrected. I believe I must now go to a Tax Accoount for future tax preparation. TurboTax greatly complicated my tax preparation and failed me this year.

TurboTax Update and Improved Import Experience

There was what seemed to be a substantial update to the product as opened the Turbotax desktop application. I hadn't opened the product in about 2 weeks. I re-opened the product around April 1, 2026, and received the update. It caught me a little off guard that there appeared to be a substantial update. But, I know that importing forms from investment companies worked after the update. Those form imports did not work before the update.

Turbo Tax Needs Help Options

I was deeply disappointed that TurboTax would only run on Windows 11. My computer could not be upgraded so I spent $1000 to buy a laptop. I did not like the changes. I was confused at how to download my information from the Merrill Lynch site. The program kept asking me if I wanted to download from QuickBooks or some other file. I finally stumbled on the correct way to get to the site. I think there should be a number to call if you're having trouble navigating the software. (Is there?) I was disappointed that when I could not figure out how to subtract my before-tax charitable contributions from my RMD, my only option was to submit that question and have another user answer. In summary, I can figure out how to calculate my taxes, but I always have some frustrations using the software. I don't need a tax expert, but sometimes I would really like to talk to someone who understands the software. I did manage to get through it.

Changes that made tax season even worse

The changes in TTax 2025 were awful and not user friendly. The inability to use WIN 10 to run the TTax program was also indicative that Intuit does not care much about the user. The repetitive attempts to sell add on services - like Audit Protection, is obnoxious.

TurboTax Is Useful and Can Be Frustrating

I appreciate the two modes: step-by-step and Forms. I have a big problem when TT does not allow me to incorporate more data on deductions. That is, during an early pass of entering data, TT determines that the standard deduction is better than itemizing deductions. If I have more data to add later, it does not allow me to revisit the deductions, forcing me into taking the standard deduction. I can reset the determination by deleting a form, but that should not be necessary. That feature is quite frustrating.

Search is useless this yr, IP PIN not in workflow

1) When I used the search in the window (top of ) a side bar opened (acting like an AI interface). But is doesn't look at the questions, you can change the question a little and get the same 1 or 2 answers every time. :( very bad. Grok helped me, maybe I'll just let Grok fill our taxes next year! 2) the IP PIN entry field should be in the last several pages when filing, not in Other, it's not an other, IRS failed me 2 years in a row for this same problem. Your users, don't know your software like you do, information. This should be a workflow step somewhere.

TurboTax is complete in covering complex issues

I have used TurboTax for years, having to upgrade to Premier a few years ago because of complexities with my several retirement accounts. While my adult children constantly say I should hire someone to do my taxes, I have found that 90% of the effort is gathering the information and 10% is running the TurboTax software. Because I end up using the Standard Deduction after all is said and done, I do not think I need to hire a professional to tell me that.

Turbotax is terrible

I cant believe after all these years, its still so hard to use this software. After the end of my filing, it says I need to mail a form, and then it says only if I chose to not send the 8949 details electronically. Where in the software was I provided this choice, and why was I not told about this before filing? Now I have no idea if I actually need to find a printer to get forms mailed to IRS

Navigation is Frustrating

I was an accountant for 25 years and used the professional version of Turbo Tax. Since I retired, I use the Premier version and have noticed over the past couple of years this program is getting harder to navigate. I have been trying to finish my return today and have had an awful time trying to get past Capital Asset Sales Entry Worksheet because when I check the last box and try to leave the page, the "x" disappears. I cannot make it stay where it is supposed to be. I have paid for E-file on my state which I now cannot use and must print out and mail my return after I have worked half the day to make this program work. If I want to talk to someone to find out if there is anything else I can do, I have to pay for the time which is not tax related. I have never been so frustrated and will not purchase this program again.
