After completing it would not let me e-file. I got a message "You've reached your e-file limit. the IRS only allows 5 returns to be e-filled with personal tax software. Everywhere I turned TURBO TAX was only wanting more and more money to be spent with them. So, the Features that were advertised were not available.

Jerry (sp?) was wonderful, patient and professional. He got us out of a vicious circle and took his time double-checking as the problem was a glitch. We had spent an hour by ourselves trying to figure it out and Jerry did as well. So, Jerry gets the 5 stars but your software gets a 3 as this was the second glitch we encounter. The first glitch was resolved by looking at the responses of others who encountered the same problem.

The software appeared to generate unnecessary fixes, especially for institution supplied data where blank was submitted instead of zero. And the error did not take me directly to the proper worksheet - I had to search through the flagged document w/s to find the place to enter the "0.00" This seemed like a poor service designed to trick users into signing up for the new Help cost.

It would be nice to see examples of completed forms I'm working on ---it would be nice to know how to make corrections without guessing.. Also...I wasn't sure if corrections I made took care of errors correctly... a positive response/example would helpful.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. I don't think this years edition is as easy to use as prior years. I downloaded my 1099 from RBC and when I reviewed my return I found it missed so of my income. Additionally, when I tried to download my corrected 1099 on March 18th it wouldn't download. After several tries I entered the changes manually.

I have never been so frustrated. I had a problem with my employer withholding Wisconsin taxes in error (I live in Illinois) and Turbotax was completely unable to offer any guidance and kept giving me errors with no guidance or suggestions. Then, after I thought I figured it out, paid for an additional state filing, passed all the error checks, and went to transmit - THEN it tells me there's a problem because field 16 is blank - again with no guidance at all. I am also continually frustrated by Turbotax asking for information from forms I downloaded or previous year tax returns when it should know that already. The only reason I haven't switched to another software is I don't want to deal with it not knowing my previous information. If Turboxtax makes me find it and enter it anyway, what's the point? Just once I would like to do my taxes without having to search up terms, rules, and explanations on other sources because Turbotax does not explain common situations. Premier should be capable of handling kids in college and basic investments/401K without my having to continually search for other references.

Terrible - I've used Turbotax for 20+ years and this year I can't e-file. The progam sucks. The support sucks and I guess I need to find an alternative. Good Riddens with the Desktop version. I know you are sabatoging this on purpose with your idiotic business decisions.

My tax situation is NOT very complicated, yet TurboTax makes it feel VERY COMPLICATED. Here are some of my complaints: - many of the "errors" or "problems" it flags leave you hanging and guessing what to do next (thank goodness for ChatGPT which has been a huge help this year). - Intuit has STILL NOT FIXED the ridiculous treatment of 1099-Q distributions when expenses have been paid - Jumping to a form to fix a problem, you often cannot replace values, and TT doesn't point you to where you can change the value. Then, after you're done, you have no clear way of returning to "where you were" before needing to pull up the form. - All these problems manifest themselves especially under "SMART CHECK" and "Final Forms Reviews" - Then, doing my Virginia state income taxes, TT acts like it has never seen my prior year state tax return. It asks "Did you file a Virginia state return last year?" Well duh - yes - and you have the data loaded! - Then, doing my Virginia state income taxes, TT ASKS ME TO TYPE IN LAST YEAR'S TAX DATA!?!?!? AGI, Deductions, Tax Due, etc. ...OMG just shoot me. BOTTOM LINE: I spend a lot more time trying to figure out what data to put where and dealing with Turbo Tax quirkiness than I should have to.

I have used turbo tax for 20+ years and this was the first year that I found the "learn more" explanations to be extremely non-helpful. Even pulling the form to review was not enough (usually that is all I need). Had to actually go to irs.gov and download instructions for the form I needed.
