I have used Turbo Tax for years and this year was a terrible experience!!! I have talked with other members of my family and we all feel you should go back to your design in prior years and remember all of your customers are not young anymore, but still believe in following the law and filing my tax return each year!!

Very good experience, as usual. A couple of points of confusion: * A 1099-R form was included that was not needed this year (was used last year). Software insisted that fields needed to be filled in. It was tedious to find a way to delete the form. * The offer for Turbo Tax Advantage was confusing. Software went to accounts web page. Not clear what to do next.

Previously liked using Turbotax, but getting spammed with many requests to buy Tax Advice several times at the beginning, throughout, at the end, and even a survey why you did not buy the Tax Advice is annoying, so much that likely will not use Turbotax in the future. I do not mind being asked once in the beginning or at the end, but I do not pay to get spammed with ads to buy more. If I want paid tax advice I would pay an accountant.

I have used TurboTax for many years and find it relatively easy to use. I have had no audits using TurboTax. That being said, I don't appreciate all the pop-up ads to sell additional products. I feel the ads could be deceiving and especially confusing for older users.

This year was not a good year for TurboTax. Program bugs prevented updates from working; the software had to be removed and re-installed. Forms were not ready until well into 2026 - there is no excuse for not being able to enter Schedule D data and get a reasonable estimate, perhaps based on prior year or tentative tax law, as soon as the early releases are available. The software does not remember choices made on the tail end of forms ("None of these apply"). Thumbnails (for example, of downloaded forms) should show additional details (for example, T,S, or J for 1099s) Some fields generated from downloaded data print so small as to be illegible both on screen and in printed forms. It prompts at every opportunity to sign up for additional services that were previously declined. Really disapointed this year,year.

Donations were not up to speed. Had to guess at donations amounts because the table to get better accuracy wasn't there. Other things were difficult. Then I purchased the desk top version so I could file five returns as I help my nephew, brother, and sisters. After filing two returns it said I reached my limit and I was supposed to have five returns to file and did not reach my limit. So frustrated as I feel like I am getting ripped off.

Despite having the Premium version, the software logic is deeply flawed for residents of non-tax states. As a New Hampshire resident, I am forced to download a "blank" NH module, which effectively consumes the "one free state" credit included with the software. When I try to file in a state where I actually have a non-resident obligation, I am charged an additional $45 for the download plus e-filing fees. Furthermore, the desktop version is buggy. Attempting to move my return to a second computer as it comes with 5 installations, it resulted in an endless "download NH" loop that blocked all progress. Buggy, expensive, and frustratingly designed.

I would prefer to have a CD version of Turbo tax. This year I had a new computer and had trouble to find last years turbo tax to download as well as to install turbo tax onto my computer. Last year it only saved it as a PDF file. I needed more help from friends with more knowledge in IT to help me with download a desk top version and to find my last years file to download into this year to start working with TT.

I was frustrated trying to find where to enter a simple $3.11 Wash sale loss disallowed. Any searches came up with the same instructions, not very clear. I finally found it by checking the box by the Adjustments to Cost Basis. You could make that easier.

This year it was terrible. I could not install it until I talked with customer service. Then I could bring in 2024 Tax information. So I had to talk customs service again. This process took many hours.. When I finally was able to bring in 2024 info the program said it did but actually nothing was imported .
