The product is pretty good but lacks a good tax estimating feature. I would like to be able to do "what if" analysis to estimate the effects that changes would have for the upcoming tax year, not the tax year that I am filing. I would like to include some entries from the past tax year, make some changes and see what effects these changes have on my tax liability. Some examples include Roth IRA conversions, charitable contributions, optional distributions from various taxable or pre-tax (Regular IRA) accounts.

Would not accept my Bank of America account information that I have used for years. Directed me to use the routing number from the website/app, which I did, and then would not allow me to continue with e-file. Also, regarding the CA return, incorrectly allocated mortgage interest for a rental property to my schedule E and personal itemized deductions. This require manual correction with zero assistance available from support.

everything went great until it keep asking about having digital assets under error review and I had no digital assets I couldn't get past that error which was a flaw in the software. I called support and they said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours they never called back so i kept trying to get my data through by deleting and rreadding the info and for some reason it all of sudden let me move on. then at the very end of hitting the send button to elec file it hit me with another issue that was easy to fix and wasn't mentioned in the review section all I can say is get it together!!!!

I have been using TurboTax for a long time and I am feeling quite comfortable. But this year, my wife's legal name was changed after she became a naturalized citizen. So I changed her name in the personal info section. However, all the subsequent interview questions still used her old name, and it makes me feel like the change was not taken properly. This needs to be corrected. Other than that, it is great to use the product.

Was very easy working with this year's product. Investment information upload is a great feature. I had one problem with entering RMD information. I had to divide the RMD amount between the IRA distribution to me and the QCD. There was no instruction on this.

Seems to have trouble with Schedule K-1, particularly with the ZZ fields where some LPs report several ZZ code entries. I frequently view the forms but there isn't a clean way to return to were you were in the step-by-step or at least it's no obvious. When working on States, you often give a number to review but no details on what's in that number. It takes a lot of searching and calculations to determine what you used for those numbers. Please DO BETTER.

From installation crashing bugs to help pages with abundant dead links, it's clear this company is relying too much on AI with almost no quality control. I'll be taking my business elsewhere next year. This has been one of the most painful tax filing experiences ever, all due to the new turbotax experience.

You all are just not good at what you do. You are lucky that you're basically the only option because I despise using you all every year for my taxes. Be better. Don't make people update their product mid-tax filing so that they then have to redo everything all over again.

The new version of importing from financial instituitions was terrible this year. You cant pick and choose accounts. The accounts arent specifically identified. You basically have to import all accounts at once vs one at a time. Lots of on line complaints about this process this year. Why would you have changed this?

I found this years product a little more difficult to use than previous years, asking questions that fidelity Financial didn't provide and said were not necessary since they are a Registered Investment Company. Example. we paid a foreign tax on a registered Investment mutual fund dividend; you wanted to know the amount of the dividend; had to ask our advisor to research and advise the amount. Hope we got the correct info since there were 50+ pages of dividends to review.
