I have used turbo tax for 20+ years. This year I ran into an issue in which the turbo tax software had a glitch that caused me to have to file my return by paper. (It claims that I needed a form 7220 and this form is not supported. I do NOT need the form 7220 as my solar project was under 1 MW of output. I buy turbo tax to be able to file electronically. I also paid an additional $60 for expert help. All experts I talked to agreed that I was right, I did not need form 7220 but they had no fix for the issue and therefore I had to file a paper return. I would like a refund of the $83.00 I paid for turbo tax plus the $60 I paid for expert help.

Turbotax sent me a version on auto renewal that based on last year's return required me to purchase an additional $19.95 upgrade to enter brokerage data!!! Last year I also had brokerage data. The upgrade should not have been necessary. Also FIX MY RETURN could not be found on the desk top version. Otherwise an excellent prodcuct

My IRA provider gave me 2 1099R's for my IRA as per the IRS guidelines, one for my taxible amount or my RMD, and one for my charitable contributions part of my RMD. When I go. through the turbotax I could only figure out how to put the RMDs in separately but I could not get them linked to my one Raymond James IRA account. Consequently it tried to charge me a $2800 pentalty for not meeting my RMD. It took me 4 hours and 2 phone calls to work through this. Surely this can be made more user friendly!!!

You need to fix your credit card payment process - it's been an issue for years and people are very frustrated and feel cheated. I tried so many times and your software would not work. I just had to spend $70 to use my federal refund vs. $15 for using my credit card. SHAME ON YOU!!!

We use the Premier for residential rentals and the depreciation was held up. We signed up for updates to advise when it was ready. We did not get an updates until I went into the community to see if that was helpful. I took some time but I thought the comments meant it was ready and it was.

Although I am still very pleased with TurboTax, I had an overall feeling that this years edition was not as easy as prior years. I initially had 2 copies of my IRA/RMD information. One from importing and one from manual entry. I never had this problem before. I had a big problem getting the imports from my brokerage accounts to work. It turned out to be a problem with my pop-up settings. I had to research it on GOOGLE to solve it. I feel that the TurboTax software should have done more to point me in the right direction. Also, I wish it was possible to sort the list of charities.

Turbo tax is very easy to follow and if you use it consistently it keeps track of everything for you. It really helps with complicated things like depreciation, passive income, carryover losses, etc which I would have little idea about how to figure. Their support people are outstanding and have always answered all my questions.

Complete and accurate tax filling with ease of use and understanding. Help that answered questions that I had and walked me through the process. Electronic filing and State Filing were great features that were added. Very easy to use and it walked me through the entire process. Desktop Software was easy to use and worked great with my computer.

Turbo Tax was more complicated this year beginning with the data merge with my financial company. I had to initiate it several times and in the end the program was asking me to provide data that it hasn't done in years past. I just didn't know what to enter. In years past it downloaded all the data that was necessary.
