I have used Turbo Tax for probably 25 years or so .,..however long they have been around. I had more issues this year with things than in any previous year. Trying to get my EV credit into the return unsuccessfully and then having to back it out and file without it. Then I had to do an amended return and for some reason it remembered that I tried to put it in earlier and made it an nonrefundable tax credit. In short I had to do my entire return and mail in a hard copy of the amended return. Needless to say I may look elsewhere for tax software next year.

The install process was horrible. The download couldn't un-archive itself. Re-downloading, providing a whitelist file name exemption and trying a third party extract all failed. I ended up needing to create a brand new ADMIN account to complete the install. Then after activating the software, I had to re-activate the software after switching back to my normal ID. Once my taxes were complete and the Federal was e-filed, the state was printed for filing. The routing and account number for refund didn't carry forward to the printed copy and had to be added manually.

TurboTax makes it easy and super fast!! (Except for refusing to run on Windows 10. Had to dig into my BIOS to turn on TPM 2.0.) They even download and process every detail from my broker. (It would take me at least a week to go through all that manually!)

I am a long-time TurboTax customer (since 1998) and am disappointed in this year's version. The product brought forward 1099-INT & 1099-DIV from last year, but when I downloaded the information from the same bank & investment companies, new entries were added to TurboTax and I had to delete the entries brought forward from last year. Also, the feature to add additional details was problematic, usually didn't work in "Step-by-Step" mode. So I had to go to "Form" mode to add the information. Plus, marking an amount as estimated didn't work the same or as well as in past years.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. I don't think this years edition is as easy to use as prior years. I downloaded my 1099 from RBC and when I reviewed my return I found it missed so of my income. Additionally, when I tried to download my corrected 1099 on March 18th it wouldn't download. After several tries I entered the changes manually.

Previous donation valuation tool was much more efficient and helpful. The current tool just released (late in the tax filing season) seem to be the same tool (same item descriptions) but made MUCH less user friendly. Big disappointment. Wound up opening last year's tool and hand transferring the data.

your regular agents are not familiar with the release of features like the Disaster recovery form 8915 and had to go on web to hear the confusing dates being attributed to your company. Please keep them up to date with release info so they can assist clients. You want us to buy in November but never indicate the missing form and its release dates. Just saying that IRS released in dec 2025 does not help us, the user. I have been a client for last 30 years and have followed your product evolution, you have a tough job but keep us in the loop and not give multiple answer. I will use it again and hope you read our comments and plan to include in future releases

TurboTax is a great tool to handle taxes individually and applies a lot of hidden rules and credits. I drop a point though as 1) I needed two different version to handle my multi member partnership and individual taxes 2) I had a lot of manual work and did a lot of investigation to handle my home that is transitioned to rental mid year. Software although says rental feature, could not break the interest and expenses in both by giving it a date of separation. It also could not correctly calculate my primary home deduction rate (my loan is higher than 750K limit and can not claim all the primary interest and points.

You have made filing much more difficult this year. I've used Turbo Tax Premier Desktop for many many years and have always had the ability to save PDF version or text version on my computer (not on your online listing). This year, every time I attempt, to do that, you ask me to sign in and then start to make things more difficult.

This yrs turbo tax NOT as user friendly. For some reason I had to go into investments 1099-xxx and manually select and/or enter data. AL state tax same way. In the past yrs - (decades) TurboTax would guide me thru almost painlessly, this year NO SO.
