Using the software was straight forward using the tax documents that organizations have provided. I particularly liked the automatic entering of stock investment details using online connections to brokerages.

The changes to RMD are unnecessary and confusing. Why do you have to switch to forms to mark something as ESTIMATED now. Seems it gets more cumbersome every year. And enough with all the upselling.

Information needed to file was not ready until later in the filing season. Needs to make updates every time you log in to see if the information is ready and to add more information.,

It's not possible to print the state return for mail in - the software only let's you e-file, and print a preview copy with no signature page on the state return.

Surprise at end about Estimated Taxes (apparently optional). No mention until it was time to print my return! You could have put in an entire discussion about the choice that has to be made.

I love using Turbotax, it explains things well. The only thing that I don't like is that when you return to the returns, boxes that you previously checked show unchecked. I have complained about that in the past, but maybe it fell on deaf ears.

I did double transfer the data (exact same dollar amounts of dividends twice) from an investment company by accident. Unfortunately, TurboTax didn't notice it and correct it, which would let me overpay income tax

Second year in a row that e-filing failed for me. Process of compiling 1040 is seamless, the process of electronic filing has significant problems. Do not have enough time to trouble shoot this problem. I will not be using Turbo Tax next year.

I have used TurboTax for years and appreciate the ease in using it. I am never appreciative of needing to upgrade in the middle of completion. Deluxe should have included everything I needed, my taxes are not that complex.
