Pretty nice software though sometimes info carried over from prior years doesn't fit right in. As in a 1099 Int form, if TurboTax can't link to the company to download the form you need to manually enter the info. Even if you entered that 1099 Int form from that company in prior years it is still a manual entry.

your program crashes on people when it is trying to transmit after people sent hours on it. Also, why won't it all you to just upload forms that can't be imported so they do not have to mailed. The import function only allows you from a limited amount of companies.

TurboTax is generally quite excellent. I find just about everything easy to use, with one exception. A couple of years ago, a change was introduced in the 1099-DIV/1099-INT/1099-B section. This section is now very clunky and hard to use. From the "I'll choose what I work on" page, when you click on any of Dividends, Interest, or Stocks buttons, it takes you to the same page where you have dividends, interest and stocks all intermixed. Then, if you want to see the details of stock sales, it takes you to a table which is VERY clumsily depicted, with column widths that you cannot change and text that wraps around to next line making it very hard to see. (I use a MacBook Air computer with TurboTax downloaded). What I would LIKE to see: when I click on Interest, I want to see only 1099-INT forms. When I click on Dividends, I want to see only 1099-DIV forms. When I click on Stocks/Bonds, I want to see only 1099-B forms, and when I click to see the details of stock transactions, I want to see a table that is formatted nicely.

It gets harder and harder to use it. So many times it happens that you go back one step, and you have to repeat answering the same questions over and over again. Many things are completely unclear as to what they mean. I have never, ever entered anything about a farm, but I cannot get rid of it every year. The farm comes up every year. For our donations, this year we did not have access to the feature that helps enter the items and get an estimated value. We had to d it one thing at the time, a waste of time.

The Turbotax premier worked well for me. I appreciate its ability to interface with my stock broker and my K 1 partnership. The bulk edit for stock sales could be improved to allow more items to edit. I had to open up each stock transaction to edit them.

Turbo Tax was more complicated this year beginning with the data merge with my financial company. I had to initiate it several times and in the end the program was asking me to provide data that it hasn't done in years past. I just didn't know what to enter. In years past it downloaded all the data that was necessary.

I have been a long time turbotax user and familiar with using the software. This year my return was more complicated by the sale of an out of state property. I found TT to be vague to the point I needed to use an external AI product to figure it out. Also, it let me pay to efle a state return and then wouldn't allow the return to be processed. The process for requesting a refund could not be more confusing. This may be the last time using TT, will let others know as well

In general -- very easy. However two complaints: I live in Washington State -- there is not income tax on my level of income. I went to the Washington State file page because Turbo Tax wouldn't quit nagging about it -- then Turbo Tax told me I had no need to file -- yet the nagging continued. Put in your software that once aware that there are no state taxes, quit asking to file. It's annoying and it makes you feel like you're missing something. 2nd: I wanted my refund to be applied to the following year. When I went to file, it only asked where I wanted my refund sent. Give me the option somewhere to apply the refund to next year. I actually had to go look it up and go back and find where to do that. A lot of people wouldn't even know to do. I feel like it was an oversight on Turbo Tax's part

Filing was easy, but I wish I knew about the $40 processing fee for returns before I paid. I probably still would have purchased the software, but I didn't like being surprised. I ended up opting to mail my return instead, since Certified mail for two letters is still cheaper than the processing fee.

program has become less user friendly and less stable over the years. The main focus appeas now be on in app upselling and coercing people to go online with a subscription model. Strongly recommend people evaluate alternatives. Hidden Ai commponents are making the product worse while increasing the ecological damage caused...
