Federal return very smooth. State returns (with alt odd adjustments) are very clunky and confusing....really need to clean that up. I file four different state returns and it takes a long time to grind through and figure out how to work it, clean up errors, etc., etc.

1) TT does not release readme / change logs except for professional products. There is no method to know an update modified your taxes without rerunning your taxes and doing a line by line comparison. 2) In Forms Mode, different colors are used for different fields / numbers. This was in Interview Mode years ago. Please bring it back. Will be using different tax software next year.

Turbo Tax used to be a great product, but not anymore. The things that distract me the most when I want to concentrate on doing my taxes are: (1) the non-stop screens that try to sell me stuff I don't need; (2) removing Its Deductible without telling me BEFORE I bought the product; and (3) the constant attempts to get me to use the online version instead of the desktop version. I will never buy Turbo Tax again.

Everything went fine once I found out that Turbo Tax is not compatible with Windows 10. I had to call in because it wouldn't work. I clicked on a link tha it would cost me $5 which I would get back, instead I got charged $70!!! Then I found out I had to move everything to my other computer (Windows 11). The person that I talked to got me through all of that. Once I was on-line in Windows 11, things went ok. Now to get my $70 back is the problem.

Again, This year was a little confusing downloading and restarting but I got it done ok. Later the programed asked for another 2nd passcode-done. Again, I will be doing my son's form soon and he moved to CT during the year. i will need to add a 2nd state and hope to use the $10.00 credit, etc. I'll need to know -do I get prompted? I used Turbo Tax for years and I like that prior years info in carried to the next year. Bill46

I really value the product you create, every year. This year, for the first time, a lot of things felt just somehow "foreign," as if there had been many changes i was not aware of. The flow seemed somehow different, and the verbiage as well. I navigated everything with relative comfort, however, I think due to general experience with your products. Perhaps a quick upfront piece on "What's New This Year" right within the product would have been good. (Or maybe it was there and I jumped right over it? Ha!) I have used TurboTax for years, having to upgrade to Premier a few years ago because of complexities with my several retirement accounts. While my adult children constantly say I should hire someone to do my taxes, I have found that 90% of the effort is gathering the information and 10% is running the TurboTax software. Because I end up using the Standard Deduction after all is said and done, I do not think I need to hire a professional to tell me that.

The import process was clunky and didn't seem to work this year. I had to manually input my interest and dividends. I was working very hard to avoid the need for estimated tax payments including applying some of my 2025 tax refund to 2026 taxes. After filing I realized I still had estimated tax payments. This was not evident as I prepared my taxes using Turbo Tax. It just felt like Turbo Tax this year was not the same quality as prior years.

There are still a few things i need to fill in for Interactive Brokers. I am sure you know what they are but in case you don't it had to do with the cost basis of the unreported. I only had three so it wasn't a big deal. But if you want things perfect that is the one and only one thing i see wrong.

TurboTax requirement to be installed on drive c: makes a two year TurboTax install, on both PC if upgrading PC, this year and next year as information does not transfer well if not installed on c: drive. There may be 'best practices' to require c: drive install but from 'user' standpoint it would be 'best' if I could install and run from 'other' than c: drive.
