Turbo tax is a great software. The only issue for me is the miss leading information about their fees. I feel the information given to the customer is confusing, they should put this information at the beginning. Simple and to the point the purchase price is only for the using the purchase software. There will be an additional fee for sending the information to the Federal and State.

Turboxtax has been stubbornly notorious for the final check before filing. It kept asking to FIX issues such as answering Digital Asset on 1099-B for high volume trader. They are PDF file from broker. We had 260 trades from Chase. I'd click NO and Continue 260 times each. That will be 520 clicks! STUPID Intuit.

I used macintax and turbo tax for many years and this year's "update" was terrible. Hated the AI "we do it for you system", where you can't easily get to the tax forms and is difficult to navigate. The non-AI had some "improvements" which make it difficult to navigate to fix errors. Likely won't use turbotax next year after a few decades of using it and macintax.

The product works as well as previous iterations, which is pretty good. But as soon as you stray off the well-trodden path the help gets confusing and contradictory. And forcing users to run Windows 11 is outrageous, there is no apparent need for it. And pushing users to use the online version is a bridge too far. Next year I will be taking a closer look at alternative software and may or may not continue with Turbo Tax. It's not a bad product but there's a limit to how much of the tax code you can support in software.

Really surprised at the ability to auto fill our Schwab financial information automatically. I was a bit worried when an input was required by from me but checking a symbol on the input 's request I was able to fulfill the request. We both have all of our stock accounts with Schwab and it seemed like both of our account data was entered with one click!

While getting the correct info is always troublesome, the software handles most situations. Getting through the submission of the data is very difficult and this year it was not possible. The reason for the e-file not getting through to the IRS was first (the software needed an update) that was wrong because I reloaded the software and there were no new changes. The second (there was some sort of State not agreeing with previous state submissions) . The issue was impossible to find to make things correct.

I have used Turbo Tax and Quickbooks software for years and I have found the software to be accurate, reliable and intuitive. The only problems that I have is the push to pay a high-cost annual online subscription that everyone is going to and outsourcing the customer relations to India where it is difficult to understand what they are saying as they try to speak English.

Disappointed this year as it did not pick up on the fact that I missed a check box under wages re: international organizations even though I entered estimated tax payments. Even when someone else discovered that I did not have a schedule SE or Schedule 1, TurboTax was still confused why I was doing an Amended return. It was provided a confusing answer as to whether I needed to print and mail the amended return or could e-file it.

Pay for the product and get bombarded with ads for more product, then you still make me go back to prior years to fill in data when you should be able to either pull it or at least link me directly to prior year forms. What is the point buying this software. Even adding a "required" nickname on this survey feels like a scam, not optional and has to be 4+ char, why? Just a hassle.

This year was quite bad. Vague and some inaccurate prompts. Info links that further confused things. Glitches, bugs galore. quite disappointed. Grammar issues too. I have used Turbotax for decades and this year is by far the worst! UPDATE: My federal and state returns were efile-rejected because Turbotax FAILED to ask me fr my late dad's prior year AGI even though that is required for filing. To be honest this year's Turbotax is pathetically bad. I hope it goes through now. And there is no we withi the program I could check to see Turbotax actually accepted and recorded dad's prior-year AGI after entry. This program needs a major overhaul. VERY, VERY BAD. Also, in entry of an inherited IRA-BDA, where the RMD was nt rolled over to spouse, Turbotax asks "did you transfer the inherited funds to your own IRA account? But this vague language is supposed to mean that the "inherited funds" does not refer the inherited IRA but rather only to the RMD taken from the IRA-BDA, which would NOT be inherited but rather taken as an RMD before spousal rollover. The "inherited funds" does not refer to the residual IRA-BDA funds after the RMD is taken that ARE rolled over to spouses IRA after the RMD. This is a mess. The addtionaly info provided confuses things more by discussing spousal rollover vs inherited IRAs which does not help answet question. The question should have read, "Did you transfer the RMD funds taken from the inherited IRA into your own IRA?" The way it stands, the question will be answered wrong by any careful reader and this leads to improper tax handling of those RMD funds. Turbotax also at one point asks if I have a Canadian retirement program. After I answer NO, the next screen asks how2 much I have in that Canadian program. Have the writers even used this program? AMAZINGLY BAD!!! Do better!!!
