I have been using it for many years, I am confident it does its job. You had a happy customer, but don't increase the license fee. I bought Premier copy of Turbotax this year, but it turns out to Deluxe version on my Mac. Support Center cannot find out why..

Donations were not up to speed. Had to guess at donations amounts because the table to get better accuracy wasn't there. Other things were difficult. Then I purchased the desk top version so I could file five returns as I help my nephew, brother, and sisters. After filing two returns it said I reached my limit and I was supposed to have five returns to file and did not reach my limit. So frustrated as I feel like I am getting ripped off.

This product is the worst iteration of Turbo Tax yet. I've used Turbo Tax for over 25 years, only occasionally trying other software. "Learn more" buttons don't work. No option not to download updates every time it opens (I prefer to download when I'm nearly done inputting). Sometimes opens assuming you want to start a new return, vs. what you've been using. And finally numerous ads to buy professional advice, which I don't need for my simple return.

I have used Turbo tax for many years and in the past have found it great to use to file my return. This year it was a disaster. I'm a retired CPA and now have mainly investment income. I found that part of the input hard to use. It was my understanding that I would receive e-filing of one state. I had to pay to get my return to e-file. I didn't realize my return didn't e-file until I never received a notification from my state. And my filing instructions reported that the return did e-file. Don't know if I will used it next year.

The process went well until I was ready to file and hit a snag that should have been fixed by now. I have a 1099-R from the OPM. When going through the review, I'm told I have to enter the State Distribution (box 16a) in Turbotax. The CSA-1099-R from OPM does not have a box 16a. I e-filed by state and fed taxes using Turbotax Premier on 4/13. Payment was due for both and entered the bank info for direct debit from my checking account to be paid on 4/14. Later that evening I used IRS Direct Pay to pay estimated taxes on 4/14. The next morning (4/14) the estimated tax payment was deducted from my checking but not the payments I tried to make through Turbotax on the 13th. Late in the afternoon there was still no income tax payment. I called and was able to get through to Turbotax. I was told the return was accepted and payment is scheduled and should still go out today. But by the late that evening on the 14th still no tax payment from my checking through Turbotax so I scheduled payment of the income tax due using IRS Direct Pay which went through. Same issue with my state (NC) taxes. Unfortunately, the state doesn't direct debit payments as fast as the feds so my payment will be late. Can't trust Turbotax anymore for tax payments.

I saw several issues where values weren't displayed as expected. Best example but not only example is W-2 Stae and Local Income, withheld amount just floating without a heading connected on PC version. Not like only some of your customers are going to have W-2's! Clean that up. Hopefully the underlying logic is OK? Seemed like lots of exceptions in 1099-B imports. Maybe it is time for a top to bottom refresh of the flow. some sections flow different than others.

I feel a little uneasy about this year's return due to some issues with imported documents. Still love using TurboTax just wish that some things were better. (i.e.: I use TurboTax every year and every year you ask how much I paid for tax prep and I have to go look it up when you have that information) Other than that I will continue to use and recommend your software.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and every single year you have problems importing my investment info from Edward Jones. This year again, there were over 25 errors that I had to manually correct. When I look at my printed Consolidated 1099's from Edward Jones all of the answers are in there.

Overall, very user friendly. However, in some sections, such as Business Expenses Deductions, changes were not communicated up front but buried in a link. I only clicked on the link because I could not add another vehicle for Business Expenses. Not user friendly n this case.
