When I started Turbo Tax 2025 for the first time this year I found a very confusing and hard to understand assortment of windows in the financial income section. Interest, Dividends, Schedule B, Schedule R were very hard to figure out. Each field being in a large box was not helpful. It was better when each company was listed as a line item and then selected. Even after I imported information from some companies i could not see what information was there in a logical group.

I was pleased with TurboTax until I got to the filing section. I had to file a print copy of my federal return since I had to include Form 5329 and supporting documents. But I wanted to e-file my state return. For some reason, TurboTax would not let me do this.

Plenty of fees. Fees, fees, and more fees. When the upload won't work go ahead and upgrade. Then find out that the investment company changed the output at last minute so Turbo tax won't support. So paid extra for an error that I ended up keying anyway

I have been using TurboTax since it was called MacInTax. I prefer to do my own personal bookkeeping (Quicken) and taxes. ... and I really really really prefer doing it on my Mac rather than online. The ability to download my brokerage accounts is huge help. Schedule K-1s for publicly traded LLCs are a huge pain to do by handout maybe soon

I was using the guide me feature for everything. It never asked me for Social Security Income. I had go back and enter it manually. I also had to initiate Crypto sell even though I had checked that I had sold Crypto. Another thing is that it carried a direct rollover of an IRA to another institution as income when comparing previous years income to this years. Last years return was clearly marked that it was a direct rollover. It showes that I made over a hundred thousand dollars more last year than I did. I did not pay taxes on it last year, but Turbo tax carried into this years software as income when it compares the two years. Too many things wrong. These are simple errors in the software. Not something complicated. I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years. There always seems to be something it does not do what it should.

The technical person that finally helped me download the TurboTax Desktop version of Premier (after waiting in queue for 45 minutes) was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and helped me get into the correct website to download and install the TurboTax Premier, so I could complete our taxes.

the software was good. but every time I started the software it needed to check for updates. this took a long time and usually I had to exit and re-enter turbo tax at least two times to get the software update to work. In the past you had an option to start turbo tax without checking for updates. either get the updates working better or bring back the option to start without updating. thank you

After completing my returns, just before e-filing, I was reviewing my printed copy and discovered that Turbo Tax had double entered Edward Jones interest and dividend numbers for Form 1040 Schedule B.Had I not caught this double entry I would have lost over $1000 in my refund (So much for 100% guaranteed accuracy). I contacted one of your techs via phone and we attempted to set up a screen sharing session which proved to be extremely difficult. Thanks to Yasmaria's (I'm sure I misspelled her name) tenacity we finally succeeded with the screen sharing and she was able to tell me how to delete the double entry. I'd like to give 5 gold stars to Yasmaria for her help. Over the many years I've used Turbo Tax I've noted your effort to double check entries, but I'm extremely disappointed you missed this double entry. In today's AI environment it should have been a no brainer. Additionally, part way through Turbo Tax I was cajoled into upgrading from Deluxe to Premium - after doing so, I didn't observe any value added.

Turbotax is less intuitive than ever. Questions are not clear. Needed options are hidden. Help button is a robo thing that doesn't help at all, nor does the "community." The agent tried very hard to help me for 90 minutes and was kind and patient, but "not a tax expert." Because the problem I had was with TurboTax, they did let me eventually speak to a real tax expert without the crazy extra fee and she was able to help me.

Copying & pasting bank information saves mistakes, and saves time. Sending one state return included is the decent thing to do, not nickel & dime us and make us use a reddit card if we do not get a refund from rhe Feds. You should make us want to use you and recommend you, not make things worse, these taxes are enough agrivation We cannot recommend you any longer.
