I have used Turbo tax for many years and in the past have found it great to use to file my return. This year it was a disaster. I'm a retired CPA and now have mainly investment income. I found that part of the input hard to use. It was my understanding that I would receive e-filing of one state. I had to pay to get my return to e-file. I didn't realize my return didn't e-file until I never received a notification from my state. And my filing instructions reported that the return did e-file. Don't know if I will used it next year.

I bought the $60 tax advice option. The original person who called me setup a time to call me back, but she never called me back. I had to request another tax expert. That person called me and her computer wasn't working right. She had to go offline and restart her computer. It took about 20 minutes. When she got back she could only see portions of my computer screen. Frustrating.

If your smart check found an error - why not have the UI take you to the section where the problem was found? How helpful is it to just ask Enter State for 2619: ____ ? Also Why do you have to make Backdoor Roth conversion SO INSANELY CONFUSING?

No help with Special Situations. I have an Inherited IRA with a basis, which means I'm supposed to file a form 8606. But because Turbo Tax can't handle this situation, I'm forced to use their 8606-S, for spouse. Because I file single, I get about 15 errors during the final review and can't submit electronically. Also, Turbo Tax still can't handle all of the entries in Box 14 for New Jersey. You woudl think a state with as many filers as New Jersey would prompt Turbo Tax to make the necessary changes. But I'm still forced to quess how to handle many of these items.

Very disappointing. Royalty portion of software (in the income portion of TurboTax) needs to be separated from rental section. Had extreme difficulty (> 4 hours' work) getting data from mineral property Schedule K-1 to report correctly on Schedule E. Online help function was completely unhelpful. Could have fixed problem easily by going to the Schedule E form itself and making correction, but unable to edit anything there. Also, a "calculate" key that could be pressed at any time would be most helpful to observe the impacts of changes.

The technical person that finally helped me download the TurboTax Desktop version of Premier (after waiting in queue for 45 minutes) was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and helped me get into the correct website to download and install the TurboTax Premier, so I could complete our taxes.

I've used Turbo Tax for decades. This year I bought the premium package so I could import cryptocurrency information. Tubro Tax advertised that you could import CSV files directly into their software for ease of reporting and processing crypto gains/losses, however, they never got that portion of the software working. Many people are very upset about this. Your product does not work as advertised.

Plenty of fees. Fees, fees, and more fees. When the upload won't work go ahead and upgrade. Then find out that the investment company changed the output at last minute so Turbo tax won't support. So paid extra for an error that I ended up keying anyway

I usually don't have issues with Turbo Tax, but I use turbo tax to file taxes for mine and my children (minors). My return was rejected and it still counted it as one of the five allowed transmissions, because of this it wouldn't let me re-transmit because I exceed the allotted amount of usage. Since this was a rejected transmission I don't think it should've counted and the re-transmission should've been accepted.
