I've been using the TurboTax for so many years, but this year's TurboTax has so many defects or bugs, It's not friendly at all. Lots of pages indicated has Edit, Review, Delete, but there is no button or options to do so. I don't like this at all. When transferred from previous Tax return, some fields are miss matching. When deleted one Student dependent, then the next none student dependent will replace the deleted student dependent. It's so bad. Also took me so many hours to resolve different kinds of issues.

Premium is unnecessarily click heavy! Previous version allowed to skip import prompt after 3 clicks. A friendly interface would allow 1 click to skip import prompt!! For items in 1099 list 1. take user back to last worked entry once done entry... not to top of list 2. Allow for filtering of list to each 1099 type; i.e. Int, Div, etc. Total interface is designed like Inuit generates money from the number of clicks! Please improve.

I have been using Turbo Tax (TT) for years and haven't had any problems. This year basically was the same except because I had to invest in a new computer to use the 2025 TT software requiring Windows 11, my previous year (2024 TT) was on the old computer, so therefore the 2025 TT wasn't able to load critical information from the previous tax year. I tried following the instructions per TT to get that information but was unsuccessful. I finally gave up and just had to enter all my information like I'd never used TT before. I also of course had to get my 2024 copy for necessary information for the 2025 taxes. That information would have automatically been populated if I had been able to download the previous 2024 tax filing. It was frustrating, but I got it done and other than that I was very happy with TT as I have been before. One thing I did notice when I was entering my 1099-R and SS1099 is something it populated about the funds being from a Canadian entity. I don't know where it was getting that. The Tax Payer ID was correct and was not Canadian. Possibly a fluke in the system? I have been also very pleased with the questions and help pop ups that are available. I'm not sure what Interface is referring to, but it's probably also good!

Turbo tax is easy to use and I have filed my own taxes for decades using this software. It is especially helpful with all the different forms that need to be filled in concerning interest, dividends, stock sales, etc. the help is usually very clear. It usually takes 2-3 hours for me to do my taxes, saving hundreds of dollars from paying a CPA

My only issue is the Intuit account login you have to do to pay for eFile of the state return. The login is a royal pain and has repeatedly been an issue for several years now. The system NEVER sent a code by email and acted like it didn't recognize my last name for an account. Also, there is not a clear way to send the code to your mobile phone. Something so simple that is totally screwed up.

Overall, filing my taxes was simple and I was satisfied with the process. The one major complaint I have this year what at the end when trying to e-file my federal return. As in the past there are to options to receive your refund, mailed check or direct deposit. Unfortunately, I found out as of Sept. 1, 2025, the IRS is no longer mailing checks. I received a letter from the IRS that now I have to submit my bank information for direct deposit. The software needs to be updated to remove or notify that the mailed check is no longer an option. And now, it is a major pain process for me to get on the IRS site and submit my bank information in order to get my refund.

The desktop software was easy to use, once I was able to find the correct website to download it from. Intuit's website does not make it easy to find, and was constantly pushing me to repurchase it. Something seems buggy with the interface in the income section, where it had me going through the same sections for no apparent reason. I like and trust TurboTax, but Intuit can work on providing better support without trying to push you to a consultant and pay $60 to figure out how to navigate your own software.

Hard to search for answers to questions i have. I wind up using google. I also lost the ability to use my Windows 10 PC since Turbotax no longer supports Windows 10. I have this PC enrolled in the MS extended security updates so Turbotax saying that it's 'insecure' is a joke. They probably wouldn't have stopped me from using that PC if I used a browser to do my filings but they won't allow you to use the desktop software, which is what I prefer

I spent HOURS on a very simple return because the interview screens were blank and my college expenses could not be entered. I finally found a solution by google search to set as being run by an administrator. Guess what? Thousands of people are wasting time with this same question year after year. Why is this not a default setting? The pop-ups for the survey asking why I did not want to update my 5 federal e-filing desktop version to a single federal e-file was annoying and I couldn't get the window to close and could not use the software because of that winder. I finally discovered ALT+F4 made it go away. I also don't like the constant upsell for audit defense and tax advice. I will be using Tax Slayer next year.

For many years I did my return by hand, as a former CPA. Once I retired a few years ago, I started using Turbo Tax to prepare my returns. The software is so user friendly and allowed me to check items as I was preparing and inputting my return info. This a fantastic product and I highly recommend.
