I enjoy TT and its step-by-step approach. However, previous years had ItsDeductible to help itemize donations. I had to use 3rd Party software for this and pay for it. Also, prior years handled 529 expenses better with specific boxes to add in college expenses like Room & Board, Transportation, etc. 2025 had one all-purpose box and wasn't clear what to include. Bad for 529 users.

Not as clear and informative as I'd hoped. Fortunately Microsoft CoPilot was able to answer any questions I had and guide me through many of the screens. Also there were several Learn More or Information links that just took me to the generic help support page rather than the specific topic the link referred to.

I have always loved TurboTax and have never had an issue until this year. For some reason it did not update my TurboTax when I opened it to do my taxes. For this reason, it got stuck on transmitting my returns. TurboTax wanted to charge me a fee to help with this issue. I finally just shut down my computer and when it came backup, it finally update my TurboTax and let me transmit my return. Other than that, Love It!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and this year was a terrible experience!!! I have talked with other members of my family and we all feel you should go back to your design in prior years and remember all of your customers are not young anymore, but still believe in following the law and filing my tax return each year!!

First, you had already automatically billed me for your product, but you made it as difficult as possible to get to it. Second, I have done two returns for years with your software, and we got married, and you did not care about the second return--really poor software.

I am an enrolled agent and have been a TT DT user for years. I prefer the DT version because it provides more depth and clarity regarding every entry. I review the forms pages and am able to check entries. It appears Intuit is trying to push DT users onto the On line version, which I consider sub-optimal. I do not like storing everything in your cloud, in consideration of the amount of hacks that occur. The changes that were made this year have made it less efficient in that some steps are repetitive or unnecessary. I don't know if many customers feel as I do, but I prefer NOT to download my financial tax forms (including passwords and user id) through your web interface. Lastly, I file returns for one or two friends and family members, and having the ability to file up to five returns is a valuable benefit.

Accuracy? The online version was completely unusable. Imported and was filing SAME 1099 multiple times? Didn't discover without looking at forms view. Support I for some unknown reason was forced by IRS to file by mail. I have not heard or know if they even got my taxes and won't even let me check for 6 weeks, BULL CRAP>

i got on line version free from fidelity it was impossible to use. it froze with incorrect tax certainly my fault but i could not edit , cancel and start again or see the forms to work out what i did wrong i gave up paid for the desktop version and completed it. i reckon you owe me 80 dollars

I've used TurboTax for more than 30 years, and have always been satisfied with the final documents, despite software glitches over the last few years about which I could find no answers from the Community forum. Intuit would do well to analyze the hundreds of problems posted every year to create a troubleshooting guide with suggestions from the software developers, rather than the often unhelpful suggestions by user-laymen.

Generally good, but this year I got into a loop at the final steps where it said there were vague "errors", prompted me to click to fix the errors, then said there were still "errors" with no details saying WHAT the issue was. This cycle repeated multiple times, til I got sick of it and just clicked continue. It was an unnerving experience and gave me LESS CONFIDENCE in the software.
