I have used Turbo tax for more than 12 yrs. This years features were much more difficult to navigate and downloading was terrible. I had to go back and forth to my Intuit account to get the software activated. Older version downloaded and requested license code on the activation. Frustrating and not as compatible with HP new software.

The interface with the user could use significant improvement. For example, I did not discover what the system requirements for 2025 were until I tried to download after purchasing the software. Why not include SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS on the box— as many software companies do? At the end when customers are filing, saving, printing, the header states HERE’S HOW TO SAVE YOUR FILE. Below that the only link is PRINT RETURN. There is NO SAVE FILE AS PDF link! Nuts!! Most people are sufficiently stressed by the mere act of completing their taxes. Don’t add to the stress by forcing people to guess what they need to do for such simple processes as saving the file. Your software is uposedly focused on average people completing their taxes, not technology nerds.

Turbotax is good for calculating deductions and credits that I wouldn't have thought of if I had manually prepared my tax return. It also computes the capital gain tax. I like filig on-line and get notifications on my refund status. I use Turbotax to prepare my grown children's taxes too.

Unless you know turbo tax, it is difficult to navigate. Need to ask a question and the phone number is nowhere to be found. Needed to do a web search to find the number. (very poor). Got to talk to two agents. The first one said Turbo tax is correct and the 1099 is wrong and go to the supplier of the 1099 to have it fixed. Wrong! (poor) The second agent (Justin) found the issue and led me to the correct understanding. It was me not recognizing that a number entered was being reflected in the total. Justin gets a Gold Star.. (excellent)

My tax situation is NOT very complicated, yet TurboTax makes it feel VERY COMPLICATED. Here are some of my complaints: - many of the "errors" or "problems" it flags leave you hanging and guessing what to do next (thank goodness for ChatGPT which has been a huge help this year). - Intuit has STILL NOT FIXED the ridiculous treatment of 1099-Q distributions when expenses have been paid - Jumping to a form to fix a problem, you often cannot replace values, and TT doesn't point you to where you can change the value. Then, after you're done, you have no clear way of returning to "where you were" before needing to pull up the form. - All these problems manifest themselves especially under "SMART CHECK" and "Final Forms Reviews" - Then, doing my Virginia state income taxes, TT acts like it has never seen my prior year state tax return. It asks "Did you file a Virginia state return last year?" Well duh - yes - and you have the data loaded! - Then, doing my Virginia state income taxes, TT ASKS ME TO TYPE IN LAST YEAR'S TAX DATA!?!?!? AGI, Deductions, Tax Due, etc. ...OMG just shoot me. BOTTOM LINE: I spend a lot more time trying to figure out what data to put where and dealing with Turbo Tax quirkiness than I should have to.

I have used Turbo Tax for many, many years. I found this year, where it seems you were trying to simplify it, made it more difficult to enter info. And why would you assume most people don't do estimated taxes. Many of us do and I had to go find where I could enter it.

I started entering the forms that I had. I didn't have everything yet. Turbo Tax Premier Desktop started giving me notices "We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sur ll your info's correct." It wouldn't let me continue and no matter what I went back to, it kept saying the same thing. I went into your AI help and tried thing after thing and it took over five hours of my time to finally get past this issue. Your AI said this is a known issue with Turbo Tax Premier Desktop. I wondered if you were making this more difficult than any other year in order to force us to put everything online instead of using a desktop version. I almost gave up and thought I would have to go to a tax accountant. Thankfully, the AI Robot helped me considerably.

Had a real struggle with the K-1 form that had a note on it that 20z was being used as a Statement A.Turbo Tax program didn't know how to handle that and kept telling me I had to get a form that TT didn't have and attach it. When I put the question to the AI on the website, I got directions that solved that issue but it took several weeks to find the AI. I wrote several questions on various places on the website but never got responses. I think Intuit has a lot of work to do on customer support. I've been using TT for years but this year I almost decided it was too big a pain and too remote to continue using it.

Have been a Turbo Tax user for many years. This year was a little odd. The investment income screen was very hard to understand. Since I have a number of accounts with one broker, the display on the screen provided no information on which account was which. The new "icon" display required scrolling the screen to see all of the account list. No identifying information other than the name of the source an DIV or INT, etc. The data import process was also buggy since it now accesses a web page. It required disabling firewalls, pop-up blockers, and reboots to take effect, then try again. The pop-ups arrived but were often obscured by other open pages. All this may be thanks to Windows 11 so it may just be our new reality. Overall, very pleased with the process and still have high confidence in accuracy.

It works better every year, it took less time this year and the numbers were calculated quickly. I now use the feature that runs through everything and it worked perfectly. Wasn't sure at first how it would work because I switched from PC to Mac. Would not transfer PDF from last year, but took no time to reenter the information. Didn't need support this year as it was easy once I got it to download to the Mac. Program ran even better on the Mac than it did on PC, and all the features were great.
