TurboTax is getting worse and worse each year. It dropped ItsDeductible and has never fixed the issues surrounding Form 1116. It seems to get harder and harder to navigate and find actually what is happening behind the curtain with the tax forms. Being retired, my taxes should be getting easier, but that is not the case with investments, which are getting harder and difficult to decipher with TurboTax. Obviously, some of this is due to the difficultly of the US Tax system, but that is also the whole point of a tax software. I may have to start looking around for other providers.

The last steps are confusing and tedious...just trying to print for review before paying is crazy. Downloading from the Fidelity goes okay, but I always get to the step when checking accuracy of the info, where there are twice as many accounts because Turbo wants to use last year's account info. There's no data in them, but I always forget that issue from last year....so,after deleting the empty ones, things go smoothly. Each year, it has gotten more confusing in several other areas as well.

I had business income from Indiana and Iowa as part of a Trust Fiduciary Return. Only19 states have Fiduciary returns within the TurboTax Business software. Fortunately, Iowa is included but Indiana is not. As a result, I had to pull off the forms and instructions from the Indiana Department of Revenue website to manually complete Indiana's Trust Fiduciary return. This made my Fiduciary income tax return extremely difficult to reconcile all of the forms (and figures) across the Federal, Iowa and Indiana portions of the Trust Fiduciary return. Plus, I then had to print off all of the Fiduciary returns (Federal, Iowa and Indiana) to mail to the Indiana Department of Revenue for processing. Unless the Indiana Fiduciary return is added within TurboTax, I will most likely forego using TurboTax next year after being a customer for over 25 years!!

Some improvements over last year, but still many software/algorithm errors occurring. However, most annoying aspect is software does not fully utilize information previously entered into program. If you can't properly set a flag, how am I supposed to trust that the program otherwise is just fine, accurate, and free from bugs?

Did not engage personally and taxes were rejected when submitted. Turbotax gave instructions on how to find the form 1095-A that was missing and had not been received. Post office said they were behind in deliveries by a month. The IRS instructions were not good on how to get the form on line. Market Place did not have a form 1095-A listed. However a search with the word "statement" eventually led to the form that was needed on the Market Place website.

I've used TurboTax for at least 30 years. It has changed very litte. It's still ponderously slow, cumbersome to use. The interface is little changed from five years ago. Only the barest changes to the interface seem to be made, nothing to improve the performance or user experience. Installation is incredibly slow.

We were unable to import dividend and interest data from our financial institution, Merrill Lynch, into the TurboTax software, spent more than 2 hours with TurboTax technical assistance and were still not able to resolve the problem. Also, we were unable to exclude the AZ tax exempt municipal interest on line 15 of the AZ state Form 140, Resident Personal Income Tax Return, from the total tax exempt interest reported on line 2a of the federal 1040-SR, US Income Tax Return for Seniors.

I've been using Turbo Tax forever. It's getting more difficult to use, and they made me upgrade this year to do something that I've been doing for years. I also had to buy a new computer because they wouldn't allow me to install on my existing computer.

I've used TurboTax for years, but this year after paying and going though the full data entry process, it would not complete the filing process and near the end it would not complete the process to file, and kep insisting I must fill out an aditional 700+ pages of additional forms for capital gains, which were provided by Edward Jones, inc. So, I took my printed forms to a tax advisor and they said I was doing everything correctly, aud TurboTax would not let me file neitjer Federal nor Virginia. It was a fiasco and frustrating to say the least. Apparently I consulted wih a TurboTax Customer Services Reprentative who had me erase my Capital Gains entries and reload them from Edward Jones three times, but the answer was the same. In order to file Federal and Virginia income taxes, I was forced to reprint everything and manually mail the returns. I heard there was a problem with TurboTax regarding Capital Gains... If so it should have been corrected through an update

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and I am pretty happy with it. I like the features which allows one to scan W-2's and quickly import all information into the return. I also like the feature that allows me to import all my tax documents from my brokerage firms, simplifying the filing process. This year I purchase the live tax advice and I am pretty ha[ppy with it. Once I requested advice while preparing my return, I got a phone call in a fairly reasonable amount of time. Overall, pretty satisfied would Turbo Tax and would recommend it to others.
