some of the interface was "clunky" area of 1099's required multiple steps to get to the entries. The interface for 1099 b's was different. This made it confusing. Not sure why 1099bs had to be mailed. never did that before. (Nor are we doing this for taxes prepared on tax Slayer.) Arizona return did not ask about treasury interest which is not taxable in AZ. had to find line on the form and enter manually.

I like how the product pre-populates values when it is able, but there are a couple of values you know from my previous state return, but you force me to dig out the paperwork to find it. Since you read my file from the previous year, there is no reason you should force me to do this. One other small thing that bothers me. I live in NH and work in MA. I don't have to file NH taxes, but need to file MA taxes. When I am filling out the MA tax questions, why does the top banner keep changing back to the amount of money owe/return for NH. It should stay in MA since that is the return I am editing.!!! One last thing. This edit box cannot keep up with my typing and removes characters I have already typed, so I have to constant hit backspace and edit my typing. Get rid of that stupid AI review topic thing. BTW: I don't type fast.

Hyperlinks to get more information appear to just go to the main TurboTax page. There an additional search is needed, rather than connecting to relevant information. Additionally, search results on the TurboTax page are less relevant than in the past. Also, tax return printing features are not as good as in previous versions. Printing of the tax forms for link defaults to printing of a copy for home records. Additionally, When printing is done, it doesn't ask if you want to save a personal copy, so you have to click back a low to get there.

I saw several issues where values weren't displayed as expected. Best example but not only example is W-2 Stae and Local Income, withheld amount just floating without a heading connected on PC version. Not like only some of your customers are going to have W-2's! Clean that up. Hopefully the underlying logic is OK? Seemed like lots of exceptions in 1099-B imports. Maybe it is time for a top to bottom refresh of the flow. some sections flow different than others.

I have used TurboTax for over 15 years and it was the least helpful this year than ever before. I never had the kind of issues previously as I did this year. Downloading W2's did not work as previous years. I had trouble getting tax forms to load from a brokerage that has always worked previously. I also had to upgrade to premier and still had to go over those forms after that I never had to in previous years.

when importing, your system does not fill in last year's 1099. it creates a new 1099 for the same institution and i have to delete last years. i also have another problem with the import function, but i don't know how to describe it other than it's cumbersome to get back and identify each different type of 1099 and start over. i think the prior years import was not as inefficient as 2025.

Requiring Windows 11 for TurboTax was a mistake on your part. I had to spend several days modifying Win 11 on one machine only (not my primary device) to use your program this year. Windows has turned into a bloatware OS, increasingly not worth the problems Microsoft has created. I suggest you create a version which will run on Linux (Ubuntu 24.02), as I use Linux as a replacement for Windows. And remove all "AI generated anything" from your program. I deliberately modify programs which hint at AI, as I don not trust systems which deliberately lie to you or provide fictional information. AI is really good at creating false information

Pay for the product and get bombarded with ads for more product, then you still make me go back to prior years to fill in data when you should be able to either pull it or at least link me directly to prior year forms. What is the point buying this software. Even adding a "required" nickname on this survey feels like a scam, not optional and has to be 4+ char, why? Just a hassle.

The import of the information from your W2 needs work. You need to inform your user s that the 401-K information is automatically included with your income & taxes paid. When you get to the part to do your e-file clicking the continue button initiates the e-file but the status bar does no indicate this information. The fact that you can't even ask a question about the application without being charged is unacceptable. You need to have a non-tax expert do some quality control of the application. The fact that support is not available to ask any question about the application is cheap.

This Year certain carry forward data was not correct. We tried to find error but all carry forward data was correct on import but nevertheless in this case somehow modified incorrect. In addition a form 502C (education) had an entry present that Turbotax generated i have no idea why as we shouldn't even have data in this area. The answer was to delete this form. This took everyone a lot of time to resolve. To me this year software application needs a better-quality control before being released
