The questions asked about Nonemployee compensation don't cover the type of income received. The income derived was from being a volunteer activity that resulted in a minor amount of nonemployee compensation reported on Form 1099-NEC. It is not from a "business" of mine! But none of the other question options applied to this situation, so it's been reported as Schedule C income. I suspect this raised our risk of being audited for no reason!! In 2024, it remained as nonemployee compensation - not from a business. The questions need an "other" option or some more expanded list of possibilities.

In the medical deductions section, Turbotax included the income from a IRA to Roth conversion as current income in the calculation of the amount due for repayment of a health insurance marketplace premium. This resulted in repayment of premium in the amount of $5086 which is incorrect. The correct amount of repayment should be $1625 when you subtract the value of the IRA to Roth conversion from total income.

Seemed like a step down from last year. 1. Importing from Vanguard was too arduous. I have 7 1099's that had to be handle individually. There should be a multiple-import wizard so that I only have to enter data once and have TT fetch all 7 for me. 2. There were 3 "duplicate" 1099-R forms that somehow got created from my imports. I had to find them and delete them manually. The software should have identified them notified me. 3. There should be a menu item or other way to see a list of all imported data, plus a way to set/edit the title of each entry. I did see the list somewhere in the step-by-step and all 7 Vanguard imports had the exact same title. 4. There really should be a way to import pdf documents from the local machine. I can't believe I had to enter three 1099 forms manually. (I *think* that previous versions of TT did import from pdf.) 5. I was disappointed that I had to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier in order to import 1099-B forms. 6. You should have much better user help using AI. Right now every request for help just lists out some forum topics with some matching words. You should train an AI system on your software documentation and provide much more insightful responses to questions.

There are a number of bugs with TurboTax and also trying not to provide the 5 eFiles that are included in the purchase. 1) TurboTax does not work on Windows 10, 2) QBI form is included with all tax returns done even though there is no Qualified Business Income, 3) When checking the actual forms and then returning back to the tax questions it does not return you to the proper place, 4) the errors at before filing are TurboTax created because TurboTax does not fill out the forms correctly or completely, 5) Entering in this text is hard because many characters are skipped as you type. These are just the top 5 off the top of my head.

I like the importing of my brokerage tax documents. I was a bit disappointed with the help feature. I expected it to have more of an AI feel. I wanted clarification on a schedule B Div item and it was all over the place and useless when it came down to it. I posed the question to Gemini and it gave a perfect response. It won't be long before Gemini is doing taxes. Overall I'm glad I used the product because my taxes are done.

Been using TurboTax for several years. On the Mac edition, I would make it easier to enlarge the fonts on the screen. I did find a way, that is easy, but, as a newish Mac user, I had to ask Google. I would also like to have the background screen have less white. It's bright on my old eyes. Perhaps another background color.

I've used Intuit's TurboTax software since the 1990s through many life, real world tax situations, and every year I've felt absolutely confident my tax filings would be accepted by the federal or state taxing agency. I would give the software a 5/5-star rating but I discovered two issues in the Turbo Tax Premium, which caused me a modicum of concern, but had no bearing on my tax return accuracy. I have no doubt Intuit will fix these glitches in a future product update.

I have used TurboTax for several years to complete my personnel tax forms. I continue to use TurboTax because the software continually updates itself. Sometimes this is annoying when you are eager to start filling out your taxes, but I like the regular updates. It gives me peace of mind that i am not using outdated information to fill out my tax forms. The format has stayed consistent each year unlike Windows and other providers who feel the need to change everything they possibly can each time there is an "improvement " made which triggers updates.

I sold my main home but did not receive a 1099S. I qualified for the exemption on sale of main home according to IRS rules. Return says that I did not qualify for the exemption but made no difference on my return as I had no gain. But could not get the program to correctly state that I qualified for the exemption. This seems like a problem to me.

Program tax calculations seem to be good. A bit disappointed as follows: Online version version is awkward. Can only build 1 set of tax forms per id. Can't use same email address for other accounts (ids). - - - - - - - THIS PRODUCT ---- (Desktop Premier) Prefer desktop version, like using 'Forms' mode 1) Lost Win 10 support for desktop version even with security updates. Had to update to Win 11. 2) Simple things: Credit card month dropdown does not work past 08. Took 3 tries. Had the SAME problem with 2024 version. Can only enter email address in personal wks using an override. Field is locked Can't check electronic filing without getting it flagged as an error (red)
