My experience this year was the worst with the version used which is the same as previous years. The help in handling rental property took a step backward. The available explanation comments were better in previous version; particularly on the depreciation of new assets. There was a tax penalty indicated for tax accumulation in retirement accounts, but no way to trace the source of the entry. Spent hours hunting for it and never found why. Also similar comments apply to the WA state return

I have been using TurboTax for 35-40 years. It has always been a great way to file. This year, something happened and I had to file for an extension. I finally got my issue resolved (externally) and I was able to e-file my return (sucessfully). I also prepare my sons returns. Hopefully, the issue that stopped my returns will also clear up their returns.It's still the product that I will use going forward.

I really like TT overall. Love the year to year data transfer as well as the quesitons that guide one thru the process. Two pieces of feedback: 1. Please allow us to copy and paste from various pages...this makes it easier to research topics/issues. 2. The section pertaining to paying for State e-filing is a bit misleading (IMO). TT offers to deduct the State e-filing fee from my Fed. refund for $40. But that's it. It does NOT say anything like: Paying with credit card is only $25. This is borderline deceptive in that it leads one to believe that the $40 MAY be the only way forward. The credit card option should have some sort of notice indicating that it's $25. This left a bad taste in mouth re: Intuit/TT.

Been using TurboTax for as long as I can remember, but this is the last year. The main reason is how poorly it handles K1s. There shouldn't be a reason to create a second entity to handle the QBIA for a subsidiary, it should ask for that information as part as the primary entity and do it for me. It also fails to ask about completing the K1 tax basis information. You have to go into form mode to do that. When doing the SC State return it calculated the wrong add back amount for the out of state K1 entities. The software never changes other than handling new tax rules.

Some info is not straight forward the ending is very redundant with personal info of which i entered in the beginning . The boxes to be left blank are not clear on how to proceed. SSA retirement info is not clear to find .

I don't think you should charge for e-filing state forms. There is no cost to this process and it may cause me to leave TurboTax after using it for many years.

Every year it tells me I don't need to enter an Identity Protection Pin, this year it charged me forty dollars when my state and federal tax returns required one and got rejected.

I am very disappointed with Turbo Tax. After years of using, It's Deductible, it is now gone with no replacement. It is time to start looking for another tax software.

Requirement to transition to Windows 11 was painful for a variety of reasons. Otherwise I would have rated it a 5. TT Online is substandard compared to run on my own computer.

Turbotax has annoying features that the company doesn't fix. 1) You should be able to opt out of auto update and 2) having duplicate EIN numbers for W2s sometimes happens (home care to both parents) but shows up as an error that prevents e-filing. Reported these LAST YEAR but no fix!
