Previous year TurboTax offered features that would assist in doing deductions as related to household goods, clothing, and other miscellaneous donations not specific to cash. Additionally, the accuracy of some questions and detail guidance could be enhanced, specifically when it comes to mortgages and refinance.

It always works really well. Use it every year. Problem i have this year is the direct deposit requirement. It did not tell\force me that it required banking information now. i always just got a printed check. I got a notice last week from IRS i have 30 days to update my direct deposit info. UGH. I created an ID.ME account, its taken a week and they still have not approved it. i am stuck. I am in the hopper but had i know i would have made sure to put the banking info in ahead of time.

I purchased Turbotax. Should have included a state tax form. I live in Washington State, but had small income from Arizona based on a REIT, had to file Arizona taxes and owed $41 in tax. Was forced to purchase Arizona return on Turbotax for $25 to pay my $41. Makes no sense. Also some of the entry boxes were invisible and I had to click around to find them.

Turbo did not calculate my 2025 income tax amount correctly. The IRS sent me a notice and adjusted my claimed refund. I recomputed my income tax and it turned out that the IRS is correct. I'm not happy with Turbo Tax for 2025.

My wife is a Non-Resident Alien. I should be able to override any field on the worksheets so that "NRA" can be added. Instead, I'm having to do a post PDF-create edit in Adobe Acrobat Pro and adding the extra text right on the form. Cumbersome!

Received an email from intuit 4 months after filing that they may have calculated my taxes incorrectly and I should start an amended return. I appreciate telling me but at the end of the day Intuit TurboTax has only 1 real job and you failed...

I have to file form 1116. Turbotax always screws it up, converting an amount such as 70.29 to 702,900.00. It does this over and over and over again. It converted my interest income to over $700,000,000.

Overly complicated. Many steps are straight forward but you go back and forth with are sure. Ae you really sure; Let's check one more time. On review just show or hilite the steps that need to be done. Your system dumps the whole form.

It needs to be more user-friendly for citizen filing taxes from a foreign country.. There are several limitations such as no support for For 11042-S for 401K withdrawals for foreign residennts.
