Sadly, not the same. there's much less filling and the new pie crust is pretty horrible. I used to buy this pie every time I went to Sam's club and it was available. After last time, I do not think I will be purchasing this again unless they go back to the old crust and fill the pie properly. very very sad...

I thought I was getting the delicious French silk pie I've bought multiple times at Sam's club. What a disappointment when we cut into it. The chocolate is not the smooth consistency it used to be and it was not the normal crust. The whipped topping was not as light as it used to be, it felt like something that would clog my arteries right away. I will not be purchasing this again, in fact, I may take it back as it's much more expensive than the original wonderful pie.

This is not a silk pie...like French silk pie (which is amazing). Sam's used to make this with a delicious silk chocolate filling and a flour crust. It was very good. But this new recipe they are using has a chocolate crust that is okay but the filling is just chocolate pudding. Truly is is nothing more and absolutely gross in this pie. Will not purchase again.

It is so delicious and one of the better chocolate silk mousse pies I have ever tasted! It is a tad on the rich side so slice in smaller portions if serving in a gathering. The chocolate crust is delicious with bits of crunch not sandy at all! The whip cream, just right and light to complement the richness. I do not know about all these one-star ratings. Your taste buds must be way off or you were having a bad day when you wrote the review...lol...

What was a good chocolate pie is now not fit to buy nor eat. The chocolate pie crust was crumbly, tasted like it had coconut in it and didn't go with the pie at all. This pie was over whelmingly more whipped so called topping and didn't taste good. It was not creamy, almost tough. I know that's hard to believe, but it just wasn't good. Then your taste buds finally found what was suppose to be a chocolate filling. That layer had no chocolate flavor at all. So remember the old saying, "if it ain't broke don't fix it?" This doesn't taste even close to the past years. It's broke, fix it. Such a waste of $13 but it went in the trash. That's how I fixed it.

I've anxiously waited for this seasonal (why is it seasonal?) pie each year - such a delicious favorite! BUT, whoever decided to change the amazing pastry crust that it's had before to the chocolate cookie crumble crust has ruined it for this family. The filling and topping is still the same … yummy. But it was SO much better with the pastry crust! Please bring that back! And this years is a 10” with nearly $4 added to the price. Unless they bring back the best crust, no more for us!

The changes you made to this seasonal pie are terrible. The chocolate cookie crust is disgusting. It changed the entire taste of this once tasty and sought after pies. It almost has a plastic aftertaste flavor now. Read and look at your reviews now. Whoever made this decision ought to be demoted at the very least. You've taken away something I look forward to purchasing from Sam's every year. I will not be buying this again until it is Changed back. Shame on you. Just tuck.

This is a new version of the chocolate pie of years past. Crust is now chocolate like a graham cracker crust. The filling isn't gas good as the past. The pie is far too rich for me. I had to wait for their chocolate pie for months while it was out of season and am disappointed.

Pie has changed. Not the same as years past. Chocolate cookie base is too much. White topping is not light and fluffy. It's tuff almost dry out tasting. Very sad about this pie. I actually through it in the garbage! I've never done that to a pie ever. Sam's go back to your old recipe Don't buy

I don't know why there are so many complaints about this pie. I bought one and it was delicious. It's super chocolatey, the crust is great and the chocolate is very rich and is high quality. My entire family enjoyed it and I'll be buying more to bring to my office holiday party.
