So disappointed that Sam's has changed this pie. The biggest issue is the crust. It used to be flaky; now it's like a soggy Oreo. Chocolete filling is runny and lacks the flavor of their original French Silk pie.The whipped cream topping is gummy and flavorless. PLEASE bring back the old recipe!

Once again a company has found a way to ruin a good thing. For years this has been the favorite holiday pie. This is the not the go to French silk pie. The chocolate tastes awful and the chocolate crust adds to the disappointment. There is a noticeable hint of a chemical aftertaste. The person who signed off on this change should be shown the door.

Terrible! Our family was looking forward to the return of this pie. We were disappointed that the whole flavor, crust, texture, and size (smaller) had changed! We all took one bite and tossed it. Will not buy this version again. Yuck! If you had the previous version - you'd know why repeat customers are giving it poor ratings. Imo - it's not even mediocre worth buying again.

We looked so forward to purchasing this seasonal french silk pie, that is what it was called prior. New name, new ingredients, new crust, no taste while eating it and an awful metal after taste. Don't waste your money! If I didnt live 15 miles away, I would return it!

They have changed it. The French Silk pie used to have a regular pie crust, thick and rich satiny filling, with whipped topping. It tasted more like a Baker's Square pie. The new pie is nothing like it used to be. The chocolate crust tastes like dried brownie clumped together, the filling is like chocolate pudding, the whipped topping remains the same. French Silk was only available half of the year. I waited for it. I was VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

I think this new rendition of the MM chocolate silk pie just came out and I love it. Over past week have bought two for holiday events - rave reviews from my friends and family! I don't agree with other reviews here. This is a big upgrade from the past version as the crust better complements the rich and creamy chocolate filling. So delicious!

Tasted very chemical like or should I say synthetic and the crust was very weird and clumpy. I like everybody else loved the original one! What a disappointment and I'll be calling for a refund. This was junk and I threw it in the garbage. Come on Sam's! If you're going to shrink the size of something at least keep the taste the same!

The changes you made to this seasonal pie are terrible. The chocolate cookie crust is disgusting. It changed the entire taste of this once tasty and sought after pies. It almost has a plastic aftertaste flavor now. Read and look at your reviews now. Whoever made this decision ought to be demoted at the very least. You've taken away something I look forward to purchasing from Sam's every year. I will not be buying this again until it is Changed back. Shame on you. Just tuck.

I have been waiting for the return of the French Silk pie all year. The cravings were so bad, I caved earlier this fall and purchased an assortment of desserts that included a mini version of this pie. It was gross. The chocolate crust over powers what should be a smooth, delicate flavor and texture of a traditional French Silk. I couldn't finish it, it was so bad. So, I anticipated the return of the French Silk even more. After months of waiting, I was heartbroken to see that Sam's replaced it with this! Please bring back the French Silk with the pie crust. Stop “fixing” what isn't broken!

Sam's discontinued their French silk pie. We always look forward to it for the holidays. This new pie is a chocolate cream pie. Having the word "silk" in the description is misleading. It is smaller, more expensive and completely different from the former French silk pie. The new "cream" pie has a cookie crust and a pudding filling. It's bland, boring and disappointing.
