This is not a silk pie...like French silk pie (which is amazing). Sam's used to make this with a delicious silk chocolate filling and a flour crust. It was very good. But this new recipe they are using has a chocolate crust that is okay but the filling is just chocolate pudding. Truly is is nothing more and absolutely gross in this pie. Will not purchase again.

Bring back the original! If its good and it sells leave it alone. We look forward to FRENCH Silk Pie each season and we are extremely dissapointed. Sams keeps making changes to the good stuff for no reason...like the cinnamon rolls debacle. Please bring French Silk back.

I thought I was getting the delicious French silk pie I've bought multiple times at Sam's club. What a disappointment when we cut into it. The chocolate is not the smooth consistency it used to be and it was not the normal crust. The whipped topping was not as light as it used to be, it felt like something that would clog my arteries right away. I will not be purchasing this again, in fact, I may take it back as it's much more expensive than the original wonderful pie.

The changes you made to this seasonal pie are terrible. The chocolate cookie crust is disgusting. It changed the entire taste of this once tasty and sought after pies. It almost has a plastic aftertaste flavor now. Read and look at your reviews now. Whoever made this decision ought to be demoted at the very least. You've taken away something I look forward to purchasing from Sam's every year. I will not be buying this again until it is Changed back. Shame on you. Just tuck.

I always viewed the Sam's Club French Silk as one of the best, and one of my favorites. Sadly, I can no longer say that. They changed the crust to some chocolate crust that doesn't hold up very well. The filling was slightly runny, even after letting it sit in the fridge for a few hours after purchasing. It also seemed like there were less chocolate curls on top than in previous years. I've been waiting months for them to bring back the French Silk, so to say that I'm disappointed is an understatement.

I've waited all year for this to come back and it is highly disappointing. The cookie crust is terrible. The original butter crust was perfect for the pie and now it's just too much chocolate. The pie is smaller, which isn't necessarily bad, but you are paying mostly for terrible whipped cream. I will not buy this again if the recipe stays the same. Shame on Sam's Club, just to save a buck or two. Don't mess with a good thing.

This pie is disgusting, and NOTHING like French Silk Pie Sams had last year. I have been waiting months for this to come out. I bought 2 of them, and now I wish I hadn't bought any. Read the reviews folks, it is true... this is not Sams classic French silk pie. The chocolate crust doesn't taste right, and there is mostly whipped cream on the pie.. no true chocolate filling. I am so very disappointed!!

We looked so forward to purchasing this seasonal french silk pie, that is what it was called prior. New name, new ingredients, new crust, no taste while eating it and an awful metal after taste. Don't waste your money! If I didnt live 15 miles away, I would return it!

Have purchased this pie in past for Christmas as it was a decadent rich dessert. Sadly it's no longer that. It's a chocolate pudding pie of sorts. The filling was a light colored chocolate and rather runny even straight from fridge. Texture was gloopy, sort of slime consistency. Flavor was super sweet but not rich chocolate flavor in past. Cookie crumb crust was ok but bottom a bit thick. We missed the baked buttery crust too. Whipped cream topping with chocolate shavings was the best part. We bought this pie ahead to sample it before Christmas dinner. We will not be bringing it to family Christmas dinner. Miss the wonderful rich mousse- like pie of past. SAM'S - you missed the mark on this revision.

a chocolate cream pie this is not. The silk pie appears to be fanatastic with a delicious chocolate cream filling contained within a nice pie shell, BUT, what appears to be a whipped cream topping is anything but that for a topping! Cool Whip would be a delicious covering instead of the garbage used on these pies by Sam's. A few years ago, I purchased them around the holidays. This year, I bought two, one for a Christmas party event and the other for home use. At the event, I noticed there were remains left in its container. After eating some of the one at home I realized it was a disappointment. I will not purchase these from Sam's unless they revert to whipped cream topping used a few years ago. Buy your chocolate cream pies somewhere else, don't waste your money at Sam's Club on their "Silk Pies"!
