They have changed it. The French Silk pie used to have a regular pie crust, thick and rich satiny filling, with whipped topping. It tasted more like a Baker's Square pie. The new pie is nothing like it used to be. The chocolate crust tastes like dried brownie clumped together, the filling is like chocolate pudding, the whipped topping remains the same. French Silk was only available half of the year. I waited for it. I was VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

Once again a company has found a way to ruin a good thing. For years this has been the favorite holiday pie. This is the not the go to French silk pie. The chocolate tastes awful and the chocolate crust adds to the disappointment. There is a noticeable hint of a chemical aftertaste. The person who signed off on this change should be shown the door.

Don't bother buying this pie - I won't buy another one. I agree with the other one star reviews - my family and I were looking forward to the return of Sam's French Silk pie. This pie almost deserves 0 stars. The change to a chocolate crust and chocolate pie filling has ruined this pie. All the chocolate makes it too rich, even for me - who can't get enough chocolate. Please return to the old recipe, and almost 4 pounds of pie.

This WAS my favorite pie. What did they do? I don't like the new chocolate crust. The other crust was better. But they did something else too because the chocolate filling is not as good either. Now it just tastes very close to chocolate pudding with whipped cream on top. As my husband put it, it is ok but now tastes like something he could make. It's not worth the calories now. I'm so sad. Bring back the old recipe that was awesome for years.

What on earth were you thinking when you changed your fabulous French pie to this disgusting, runny, horror?? Bring back the original or just don't even make this anymore. I have definitely erased it from my list of ‘must haves' from Sams and I've been a member for 25 years. Bad move Sams🤢

This pie is not the same at all. Instead of being the special occasion treat I intended, this pie went straight into the trash after a few bites. The crust is a bizarre, unappealing texture and the filling has a weird flavor. The topping was gummy. The only good thing about this pie was the fact that it was half the size of a normal Sam's pie.

a chocolate cream pie this is not. The silk pie appears to be fanatastic with a delicious chocolate cream filling contained within a nice pie shell, BUT, what appears to be a whipped cream topping is anything but that for a topping! Cool Whip would be a delicious covering instead of the garbage used on these pies by Sam's. A few years ago, I purchased them around the holidays. This year, I bought two, one for a Christmas party event and the other for home use. At the event, I noticed there were remains left in its container. After eating some of the one at home I realized it was a disappointment. I will not purchase these from Sam's unless they revert to whipped cream topping used a few years ago. Buy your chocolate cream pies somewhere else, don't waste your money at Sam's Club on their "Silk Pies"!

Sam's club French silk pie has always been a favorite. Reasonably priced and reminiscent of Baker's Squares version. Very excited to bring it home. THIS PIE IS NOT THE SAME. Crust is Oreo and far too sweet. The chocolate filling is barely there and most of the pie is whipped cream. So disappointed. I won't be buying this again.

Like everyone else, we have been awaiting the return of the french silk pie. Whoever thought this change was a good idea should be looking for a new job. What a disappointment. The filling is runny and disgusting. Into the trash it goes. Do yourself a favor and buy the $5 Marie Callander chocolate pie.

So disappointed that Sam's has changed this pie. The biggest issue is the crust. It used to be flaky; now it's like a soggy Oreo. Chocolete filling is runny and lacks the flavor of their original French Silk pie.The whipped cream topping is gummy and flavorless. PLEASE bring back the old recipe!
