Disappointed this year - there were 2 forms from my investment accounts that weren't pulled into Turbo tax at all, though everything else on that account and another was pulled in. Notably 1099-int where box1 is blank and 1099 OID with box 1 blank as well. Glad I reviewed manually when the numbers didn't seem right. First time using the desktop version for business, maybe it's always been a problem with this version

I have used TurboTax desktop for over 15 years. I have always been very pleased with it an the ease of use, until this year. Initially the 2025 version wouldn't recognize my 2024 tax file document for transfer after multiple different attempts. So, I had to start from scratch entering all of our information which. Then, as I completed the federal return ready to transition to the state filing, TruboTax stalled for 10min at the point it should have prompted me to save the federal filing. I had to force the program to quit which resulted in the loss of the entire filing and having to start over from the beginning. When I did restart the program it miraculously recognized my 2024 filing which saved me a little. Ultimately, after using TurboTax this year, I question if I will use it again

refund of $-2,564 ??? Why not just show "2025 amount owed" ??? sometimes the screens don't make immediate sense, but overall I'd much rather use TurboTax than paper forms or my own spreadsheet forms... thanks for making it simple/affordable as possible :-)

TurboTax gets a couple stars for making it easy to fill out tax forms. That said, filing taxes should always be 100% free for everyone. We shouldn't have to use this software to understand tax forms. The federal government should have an equivalent free software to do this same thing. The fact that TurboTax charges you $45 plus tax for each state return, then an additional $25 to e-file each state return is robbery. This all needs to change big time. I will not likely use TurboTax in the future and will spend the extra time going through the free state return software provided by my state.

I found it difficult to download information from a common Broker. I had to hand type my information into Turbo Tax, as each time I downloaded one for me, it would delete what was downloaded for my wife and vice-versa. Had to review it closely because it left items out.

The program was good. BUT all the EXTRA steps to get my prepaid auto program every year was terrible. For years you sign in, you go to your purchase and download what you paid for in November 2025 ( I think Nov.)? Why do you want to make someone who has paid then jump through hoops plus more hoops once you get the email to download the program. SHAME ON YOU! WE DO NOT NEED THIS! DO NOT share my email address.

It is a good product for those who want to prepare taxes on their own. Certainly, a better alternative than H&R Block. Fortunately for those who do not want to prepare their own return VITA and AARP provide a great alternative to H&R Block as they are free of charge.

The questions are not always clear regarding what is being asked and why. Sometimes it's clear. But sometimes it's ambiguous regarding how to answer the question, e.g. what to include in the figure that you're entering. If we answer incorrectly, it could cause an inaccurate tax return.

Everything worked well for us. We e-filed both the federal and state returns. It was easy. We did have to look up a few things on google to understand a question. Also, it is not intuitive to know where to enter state estimated tax payments (actually part of the federal form).

I started with TurboTax Deluxe in 2007. In later years after I started my small business I switched to TurboTax Home and Business. One year I hired a "Professional Tax Service" who made a basic error and I had to amend with TurboTax. Another year when I was audited, I chose a local CPA with great recommendations online. That was a wasted hour of my money and my life! I had more knowledge from TurboTax, then he had from school.
