So far so good! This RoG Xbox Ally 7 is incredible! I have an older Xbox that doesn't play a lot of games and have contemplated for months about which direction to go next. There are so many games available on Steam that I have tried to play but unfortunately as much as both of my kids tried to convince me, PC gaming just wasn't for me. I just don't think I'm coordinated enough. I have been contemplating a way to access the Steam library while using my Xbox controller and ASUS has hit a home run. I just ordered a case and an IVANKY dock so I can play in my living room but so far I am incredibly happy!!! Everything I've played thus far has been flawless and as happy as I am with Xbox game pass I am ecstatic to finally have access to Steam and plus all the other addional platforms available.

It’s an amazing product very fast but on certain games startup into a match very pixelated and character on appear right away and then it’s lags for a good 5-12 seconds. The switch over to the pc part of the console is very easy and efficient and I love how you can check all the diagnostics on the single tap of a button it’s even lets me put all of my social media on there as well as Netflix and other streaming services it’s very handy bc I don’t have to connect it to a console for me to play on it like a certain other device I have lol all in all it’s a very good device to have

I originally wanted the X but at the time couldn’t justify spending the extra money so I decided for this one. For the price I don’t think there’s anything out there besides the steam deck that is a better deal than this. If you’re a casual gamer, parent, bed ridden because of a disability, or you just want to relax in bed on the beach or wherever. It’s the base version so don’t expect to get crazy stable frames unless you play low settings and drop to maybe 720. Still can run major and modern games well that will surprise you.

Awesome unit I bought during the Christmas sale. Battery life is better than most other handheld consoles, quality of the product seems nice, and the screen size is perfect. This unit is designed by asus so it doubles as a computer. Looks exactly like a windows desktop and then switches over to Xbox. You can play Xbox, steam, and pc games. Overall super happy with the ROG ally.

Such an amazing console, especially for a first timer. Great graphics and the sound quality is amazing. I love how it fits so nicely in my hands. My only complaint is that the home button is at an awkward spot and the stand that was included was just cardboard (They could reslly have done better).

This is an actual windows PC, and with that come some issues. Games stop working, downloads fail, and there’s just a lot to do. It’s difficult for my kids and I find myself screwing around with this thing way more than I’d like. It is a nifty little device tho, and they love it. It’s NOT an xbox. I knew that before I bought it, but a console is so easy; never have to be screwing around as things just work. That is NOT the case with this thing. It’s a really powerful device tho and we’ve only scratched the surface of abilities. Also note there are limited games compatible right now. I’d say this is great for young teens to older kids, and be prepared to be spending a little time with this thing “maintaining” it.

It does not play Xbox games. It is a PC with an Xbox logo. I couldn't transfer my GTA5. I could buy the PC version for $15 though. Unlike Red Dead 2.It does play some games really good, just not what i was looking for.

Cool idea doesn’t do anything well. If it’s your only console your good but other handheld options are better if you’re on the go.

Thought I knew better and this would work. I was wrong. Major wrong. One of the worst tech items I’ve ever got. Ugly, feels cheap, no case, a piece of cardboard for a stand - are you serious? Terrible screen. Low brightness, low contrast. Not that comfortable. But here is the real problem. Windows. It’s terrible. I’m a windows user and this was a horrible experience. Guys, no joke, over 3 hours to get up and running. Updates, restart, updates, restart, driver updates, armory crate updates, Xbox update, log in with windows, etc etc. this alone ruined the experience. The z2 a is a joke. It’s slow. Real real slow. I mean the iPhone chip in your hand is 5-10x faster. If you HAVE to get this item, get the ally x with z2 extreme. Also, the white looks terrible. Does not play well with GeForce Now, due to the AMD chip. Will not allow for full color when streaming. This was the main reason I got it. Apps are clunky, desktop experience is not good, memory is slow, and the list goes on. I don’t leave reviews and I don’t want to be mean, but I also don’t want any decent person to spend their hard earned money on this and have the experience I did. Not an AI review, my own money, and I’m thankful to be able to return this item the next day after over 1 hour of factory reset and windows installation. Please skip!!

This version is good for kid gamers they would love ot got it for my husband who plays mostly madden and racing games. It has a horrible latency picture delay. Also have to rebuy pc versions of the games if you dont already have them which is something that should be displayed with in the specifics of the xbox function. Decided to get the more expensive version the 1tb and is a much better option for adult gamers.
