As soon as I applied this product I noticed my skin was getting red, so I removed it right away. I have normal skin, but this product definitely made my skin feel irritated. I got an allergic reaction to this product. The next morning I woke up with my eyes and face swollen and red. My face feels burned and irritated.

The exfoliating is amazing. I have sensitive skin. Most exfoliates leave my skin red and irritated. I was impressed that Neutrogena's did not. My skin felt clean, smooth and refreshed. It has a nice texture and rinses easily. There is only one down side to this product. There was no noticeable difference in my skins hydration. However, I intend to purchase it anyway just because I love how well it exfoliates and cleanses my skin.

I’ve been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Gel Cleanser for a while now, and I really like it! The gel texture feels super refreshing, and the little exfoliating beads are gentle but still do a good job at making my skin feel smooth. I have combination skin, so I love that it has hyaluronic acid to help keep some moisture in. if I use it every day, my skin can feel a little dry, so I stick to a few times a week. It leaves my face clean, soft, and fresh, without that tight feeling some exfoliating cleansers give. Plus, it’s clean skincare, which is always a bonus! If you have normal to oily skin, I think this could be a great daily cleanser, but for drier skin, it’s better as an occasional exfoliator.

I used this cleanser for the first time a few months ago and i was very pleased with the results. The packaging is very attractive to the eye and calls for attention. It is very hydrating to the skin and smells great! I would definitely continue to use again, especially after breakouts or dryness of skin.

This stuff does clean your face but it didn’t clear any of my acne, it also didn’t give me that squeaky clean feel. However, if you don’t like that feeling then this may be perfect for you! I also expect beads or a sand like texture when I hear exfoliating but it is smooth.

I have a travel size of it, so I’m using it occasionally. It’s not the best cleanser in my opinion, but definitely not the worst one. I don’t love the smell, but overall fine cleanser, just nothing special. It’ll not take you makeup off, but it’s good for double cleansing or if you don’t have makeup on. This product honestly saved my skin. As a girl in her 20s I have only recently recognized that I have been depriving my skin of essential hydration up until about 6 months ago. This cleanser is so lightly exfoliating that it can be used as your twice a day cleanser regardless of how sensitive your skin is. This smells amazing and makes your skin SO smooth, supple, and hydrated all day. The hyaluronic acid formula keeps your skin super soft all day. This is dermatologist recommended too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thing I noticed first about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser was its fragrance which was pleasant and mild. The cleanser is a clear gel with no plastic microbeads, as mentioned on the label, although there is some sort of beads (probably cellulose, which is listed in the ingredients). I could barely feel the beads on my face, so it's not super "exfoliating" in that regard, although the other ingredients might work to exfoliate without the mechanical buffing. Anyway, the cleanser produced a mild foam and my skin felt fresh after washing. Note that there a "sunburn alert" on the label because the product contains an alpha hydroxy acid, so using sunscreen is recommended when using this product.

This has been a life saver this winter! I like how well it exfoliates my face, but the amount of moisture my face retains is great! I am always dry and flaky, but not with this weapon. I use it weekly in the shower and my face has yet to have any issues this winter. Also it smells wonderful! It foams really well, surprisingly well for an exfoliating product. Highly recommend!
