I purchased this week and after the first time using it, it gave me a horrible rash all over my face. It’s not itchy, but my skin is very dry and rough, and I have red bumps all over my face. Product did not give any type of burning sensation while using it, but my face now feels sunburnt and my skin is inflamed. Rash looks terrible and I’m not sure how to treat it. I have never broken out or reacted this way to any other neutrogena product or any other face wash. Very disappointed and hoping the rash clears up soon. Would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat, I was pleased that this product clearly stated that it did not contain plastic microbeads. While these are outlawed in many areas, I feel as if they are still on the shelves, and it is a concern that I may inadvertently be purchasing them. So kudos to Neutrogena for perhaps stating the obvious, but something that needed to be stated nonetheless. I was pleased with the cleansing properties of the product, and found the exfoliating particles to be a perfect size- not too large or small, and not too abrasive. Overall I'm pleased with this product, as it seemed gentle enough to cleanse without being harsh, but also worked as an exfoliator.

I have very sensitive skin and exfoliating products irritates my skin. This irritated my skin. so I don’t know if it was a me problem or product problem. it had a watery consistency, kind of like the original cleanser. The product tells hyaluronic acid, so it has to be hydrating. for me, it just wasn’t effective and it left my face with little bumps on my forehead. again, my skin is sensitive and exfoliating products irritate my skin.

I was so excited to try this, but as soon as I rinsed it off my face, my face felt like it had been burned. I thought that maybe it was from the exfoliating beads, didn’t think much after that. The next morning it was still red and hot to the touch like I had a sun burn but I have not been in the sun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser is the best low-price cleanser I have ever used! The scent is very light but soothing and it makes my skin feel super soft. I live in a more humid area being on the coast but I do feel like my skin is hydrated right after washing my face, as opposed to some other brands that instantly dry out my skin upon washing. I would definitely recommend!

This is also a great product just like the foam cleanser this product doesn’t break out your face it’s made to keep your face and skin shiny smooth clean and clear there isn’t really a scent to this product it’s not a strong smell that is unbearable the packaging of this product is very secure nothing was damaged when opening the box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser had a very medicated scent and wasn't exactly refreshing, as advertised. Aside from that, I thought it was a decent cleanser which lathered up nicely, but not a great exfoliator. I have combination skin and it was gentle enough on the areas of my face that are usually dry, but got rid of the oil in my T-zone and didn't leave behind any kind of residue. I deal with cystic acne and I didn't have any more breakouts than usual while using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser, but I also didn't have any less. While testing this out, I didn't use my regular exfoliator or facial masque and developed build-up of keratin in several spots on my face (especially around the pores on the sides of my nose) while using this cleanser. The little crystals intended for exfoliation just aren't rough enough.

My fiance and I both have pretty dry skin and in the harsh Colorado winter it can be the biggest pain in the neck! The hydro boost collection has been a life saver! This was the first product I got from it and fell in LOVE!! Makes skin feel SO soft and really takes care of all the dead skin and flakes off your face. So so worth it!

I have extremely dry and peely skin. This exfoliating scrub is the truth! It’s strong enough to remove dirt dry skin and grime, but not harsh enough to irritate my skin. My face feels fresh and rejuvenated after I use this scrub. Did I mention I love the lather that this scrub makes. I’ve been using this product for about 8 months now and it’s a staple.
