I used this product 4 or 5 times before my skin became HORIBBLY dry, chapped, cracked, and burned. My skin is red, bumpy, peeling, and painful. I can’t wear makeup and even applying a general moisturizer stings like fire. This cleanser must be too abrasive for the average skin. Please consider reformulating it before other customers experience the pain and embarrassment like I am!

I Bought this product this past weekend and I used it two days in a row. AftAfter using it, the two times my face broke out in an itchy rash and has been red and itchy for three days straight. Myskin is also starting to peel, and my neck is filled with a rash

I purchased this today. Was looking for a physical exfoliating cleanser to use once a week. I already use a chemical exfoliant with 5% glycolic acid in it once a week. I did notice that there is glycolic acid in the ingredients and the label does have an AHA warning on the back. Immediately after using this cleanser my face was burning. I’m curious to know what the percentage of glycolic acid is in this product. Also am curious what the “natural” exfoliant in this product is. It felt like rubbing my face with micro sand. I am not sure why you would put a chemical exfoliant in with such an abrasive physical exfoliant. I rinsed with lukewarm water and used a gentle moisturizer and rosehip seed oil on my face afterwards. It’s been a few hours after washing my face and I still feel like my skin has been burned and feels like I have microcuts all over. Will be returning. I would suggest if you are going to put AHA in anything you should at least say what the percentage is to avoid people who have never used AHA before from burning their skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed using this cleanser. It has a grainy feel to it and foamed up after adding a little water.It felt great upon application. A light but effective scrub on the face. It felt really nice as I rubbed it through. After rinsing,my skin felt fresh,soft,and very hydrated. I struggle with dry skin and this really helped. It made my skin feel renewed and really healthy. I like the fact that it's gentle enough for every day use.This will absolutely be part of my daily skin routine. I think mostly at night when I wipe away all my makeup and dirt that has built on my skin throughout the day. I would recommend this especially for those with dry skin.It really makes the skin feel dewy. The feeling really lasts all day. That's also the reason I think it would be great for nighttime. It would really do its magic as you sleep and you could see the benefits in the morning.

I was looking forward to trying neutrogena's exfoliating cleanser, but sadly disappointed after day 3. My skin felt burnt. Red patches on my cheeks didn't look flattering. I'm assuming it stripped my skin. Is a sensitive skin version on its way? I felt clean, loved how it went on and exfoliated but not the aftermath. .suggestions?

I purchased this item last week Saturday because I liked the face mask and the eye cream , I wanted to smooth my face so I decided to purchase the exfoliating cleanser, it is now Thursday the fifth day of using the cleanser . I am not sure what ingredient caused my face to break out, the first thing that occurred was that my pores started to get big, I thought it was a coincidence and did not think it was the cleanser, then the next day I noticed small bumps on my face and again not even thinking this must be the cleanser and now today it is really irritating me and itchy and it looks like I have acne my face feels like leather never in my life have I ever had this type of reaction to an exfoliating cleanser, I discontinued this product asap.

It smells great and feels amazing as it buffs all the dead skin off your face. I found it was better for me to use this every other day as the exfoliating was a little harsh on my skin for daily use but using it every other day still gave me the benefits of this great cleaners without irritating my sensitive skin. I absolutely love it!

My first time using Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser I noticed that it made my face feel really soft. All I had to do was add some water and lather my face to get all the oil, dirt and dry skin off my face. I liked how it was not harsh on my face and did no t leave my face red after I was done washing it off. after using it for a few days I could see that my face was brighter and felt a lot smoother. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to get great looking skin.
