Effective

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Face Wash is a refreshing cleanser that effectively exfoliates without over-drying. The gel formula, infused with hyaluronic acid, leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. The gentle exfoliation helps improve skin texture, and the light fragrance adds a pleasant touch. Overall, a reliable choice for daily skincare.

Bumpy, burning, itchy pain

I used this product only once, before I went to bed. I woke up the next morning with my entire face covered in tiny bumps. My face was burning so bad that I cried. The pain was seriously unreal. And it was soooooooo itchy. Like chicken pox itchy. I work in customer service and this highly affected my confidence at work the next 3 days. Today is the third day, and though the itching is gone, the pain and appearance are still there. And this is after I slept with my face smothered in cortisone cream and aloe gel. My face feels super dry but looks super oily. My face looks disgusting, and I can't cover it up with makeup because (1) it hurts and (2) it just draws attention to the bumps. It looks like every single pore or hair follicle is swollen. It is particularly bad around my nose, upper lip, forehead, upper cheeks... Really all over. Even my neck. I have never had any type of reaction to any other product in my life. If you are going to try this, at least make sure you have nowhere to go the next few days. I have no clue how long it will take for my face to feel normal again, let alone look normal... I had such nice skin texture. This is horrible and honestly hurting my mental health. I am embarrassed for people to see me now. Horrible horrible experince with this product. :/

It’s not too harsh, which can be the main issue with a lot of exfoliating products. But, it does not leave your skin burning, or raw, but does a good job of just helping get rid of that thin layer of dead skin. Smell is good, and does not stink and I would recommend this to my friends for sure

I really like this cleanser. It is not too gritty which is nice and it smells really good. I feel like my skin feels hydrated and soft instead of tight and dry when I get out of the shower so I guess you can say it lives up to its claims. Would probably purchase again!

Very, very bad.

This cleanser left my skin burnt, literally, like an acid burn. I barely used that much cleanser, and used a lot of hot water, and it still left it very burnt. It was very red, irritated, inflamed, and overall not very happy! The combination of acids, for one, is almost like something not kosher. Mixing hyaluronic acid with a glycolic, lactic acid, papaya enzyme or any kind of acid you would use to exfoliate is not good at all. Hyaluronic acid is a very moisturizing acid. Because glycolic and lactic acids are used for exfoliation, using the two and possibly having them mix together can possibly cause adverse reactions. They do two different things and it is just way too much. Not to mention using hydrolized potato starch as an ingredient is also, like, I don't know why you would put hydrolized potato starch in a cleanser. It barely exfoliates, barely has any exfoliating granules or beads. You can barely feel them at all. I only used this cleanser three times and each time it left my skin more irritated than the last time. If this cleanser got rid of the extra exfoliating acids, and used more granules, and also got rid of the hydrolized potato starch, and kept the hyaluronic acid, it'd be great. I'd use that cleanser. And it probably wouldn't burn my face. I was afraid my eyes would get swollen. I had read the reviews before trying it but decided to give it a chance. Never again.

It's non pore clogging and well worth the money, a

It smells good. It leaves your face feeling soft, tight, clean and tingly from the hyaluronic acid the WHOLE day. It's 2X approved by dermatologists. Non pore clogging due to being oil free and non-comedogenic. In my opinion, it's a must have in your beauty arsenal!! đŸ’“đŸ’“

Leaves my skin feeling so clean and fresh!

I love this product! It smells so fresh with a scent not too overwhelming. This cleanser leaves my face feeling so fresh and clean. I have noticed my pores minimize after consistent use! I definitely recommend using this.. Neutrogena makes great products!

Not your ordinary exfoliate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed with how well Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser worked. At first I thought it would be gritty and rough like many other exfoliating cleanses but it's not. The cleanser lathers very well on your face and it cleans smoothly. I still had to apply a moisturizer afterwards though.
