[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with this microwave. Not only is it attractive above our LG Induction Range, but the Extended Vent was a perfect addition and answer to our kitchen venting dilemma. The features are nice, and capabilities are outstanding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi LG, I love LG products; all my appliances are LG brand. But I don't recommend this OTR. Very stupid product design for "Extend Ventilation" When you need to turn on "LIGHT" or/and "Extend Ventilation", you need to open the OTR front door first to activate "ON button" on the glass. There is no other option to turn on "LIGHT" or/and "Extend Ventilation". Question to LG Design Team, : It is a bad design. Why do you design like that? The "LIGHT" and "Extend Ventilation" should turn on / off via the on/off button without the front door opening. I couldn't believe how stupid it is.

The surface of the slide-out hood has a defective painting. Basically, the paint peeled off. Please take a look at the pictures I've attached. Note, this is not a mechanical damage! The paint was removed during the regular cleaning by a simple kitchen sponge.

Very much so far like SO much about this microwave. A second one from LG the first lasted 7 years and similar. Of course, I wanted another. Sleek in looks and design many features I wanted were on this one. Easy to use and quick to learn what's not to like? I have a cabinet right next to where this microwave is mounted. The indentation which is on the right side of the microwave door is then blocked. In order to open it, you must pull on the very top right corner. Man, that stinks... I thought, but I misread the tab at the bottom of the door opened it. No, that just pops out the bottom vents. Trying to find a workaround or some sort of solution as it was totally installed before we discovered it. I know I am not the only one that has a cabinet flanking the stove so this should be brought to everyone's attention.

I was very skeptical in general on over the range microwaves as effectiveness in the vent, but this one is an excellent choice. We have the exhaust going outside and basically we can do any frying and no smell inside. It is very powerful and we can see how the smoke is exhaust. The microwave is super quiet and the design we simply love it. Totally worth the money spent!

I love how the screen lights up when you use it and is dark when it is not used. I am extremely impressed with its exhausting ability. I can't stop recommending microwave to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our microwave oven! The selection of presets is good. The slide out fan extension works great at extracting fumes from the front burners on the stove. Only problem is getting connects to WiFi. Still toying with that….

As a microwave, this works very well and has some very nice features that others have mentioned. I will add the not-so-nice things that I have not seen mentioned in other comments: - The vent trip piece is plastic. The trip on the oven door is stainless and scratch resistant, but not the vent. See my photos of the scratches on the vent from day one. I don't know if those were there from shipping (I didn't look that closely until after I had it installed as I thought it was stainless, also) or from me installing it, but it's really ugly and subpar that in zero hours of use, I have these scratches. Really poor quality in materials selection, LG. - Why can I not turn off the ":" and WiFi indicators on the screen? I can turn off the clock, but the ":" still displays. There is no way to turn off the WiFi symbol except to disable the WiFi. I don't understand this. The face of this oven would be so clean without these nasty icons on. As it stands, - When using the light (or, in my case, the nightlight feature), the screen/keypad stays illuminated. Why? Again, a nice face is ruined by lighting everything up. I'm really ticked off that the plastic is scratched, and LG really cheaped out on that aspect of build quality. These other issues could be fixed with a software update, but I suspect, based on other interactions I've had with LG, they won't be, as they don't care about their customers once they have their money. But if others are turned off by this, now you know!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the microwave itself is great. However, I have serious complaints about the install process. You need good studs AND good overhead/sides support to mount this thing proper. Additionally, they ask that you use an outlet. Not everyone can do that depending on how your home is set up. Installation instructions are vague at best.

ExtendaVent is a gimmick. I bought this LG microwave because I thought the ExtendaVent is a brilliant design. After installing the microwave and using it, when you open the ExtendaVent, the suction is so weak that you don't even see any smoke being vented out. The only way for Smoke to be vented out is when you close the ExtendaVent. This design is a total gimmick, please do not buy this microwave for the ExtendaVent.
