[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the microwave itself is great. However, I have serious complaints about the install process. You need good studs AND good overhead/sides support to mount this thing proper. Additionally, they ask that you use an outlet. Not everyone can do that depending on how your home is set up. Installation instructions are vague at best.

We bought this microwave 7 months ago. We had professional installation and use the microwave daily. The different functions are useful, especially the auto defrost and the sensor cook. I like the +30 seconds for short heating or to add time to one of the presets. Turning off the sound is easy; then we don't disturb one another when on different schedules. The extendavent is helpful when we use the range top that we have below.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with this microwave. Not only is it attractive above our LG Induction Range, but the Extended Vent was a perfect addition and answer to our kitchen venting dilemma. The features are nice, and capabilities are outstanding.

Had this for just over a month, and loving it! Ended up purchasing for the extended vent feature and sleek modern design, but enjoying all of the other cooking settings, such as reheat, soften, defrost etc. Before this purchase, I thought a microwave was just a microwave, but have been proved wrong. 2 minor pet peeves....every finger print shows, but are easily wiped off, and controls do not seem to light up unless you open the microwave to wake them up. This is my first over the range microwave, but would recommend it all day long.

Bought & installed 3 years ago and now the display does not work. We can still use the microwave but only if we can remember the sequence of buttons needed for anything other than “extra 30 seconds”. Costs too much to repair so will have to replace. What a wasteful use of resources!

Love my new microwave! The integrated handle on the side (rather than on the front) makes for a minimal and sleek look. And I love the display panel integrated into the door. Feels so much bigger and definitely a visual upgrade to my old microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi LG, I love LG products; all my appliances are LG brand. But I don't recommend this OTR. Very stupid product design for "Extend Ventilation" When you need to turn on "LIGHT" or/and "Extend Ventilation", you need to open the OTR front door first to activate "ON button" on the glass. There is no other option to turn on "LIGHT" or/and "Extend Ventilation". Question to LG Design Team, : It is a bad design. Why do you design like that? The "LIGHT" and "Extend Ventilation" should turn on / off via the on/off button without the front door opening. I couldn't believe how stupid it is.

Very much so far like SO much about this microwave. A second one from LG the first lasted 7 years and similar. Of course, I wanted another. Sleek in looks and design many features I wanted were on this one. Easy to use and quick to learn what's not to like? I have a cabinet right next to where this microwave is mounted. The indentation which is on the right side of the microwave door is then blocked. In order to open it, you must pull on the very top right corner. Man, that stinks... I thought, but I misread the tab at the bottom of the door opened it. No, that just pops out the bottom vents. Trying to find a workaround or some sort of solution as it was totally installed before we discovered it. I know I am not the only one that has a cabinet flanking the stove so this should be brought to everyone's attention.

Poor bottom suction lost to the top of the unit. There is a design issue with the unit when installed for roof venting (default installation per installation manual). A lot of air is pulled from the top of the unit (the charcoal filter area - see picture) making the bottom suction really low After discussing with LG over chat, there is no missing piece on my unit so it is a design issue. Will likely return and get a different brand

I was very skeptical in general on over the range microwaves as effectiveness in the vent, but this one is an excellent choice. We have the exhaust going outside and basically we can do any frying and no smell inside. It is very powerful and we can see how the smoke is exhaust. The microwave is super quiet and the design we simply love it. Totally worth the money spent!
