We’ve had an above-ground pool for the past five years, and last winter we decided it was time to replace it and get a new one so we could continue enjoying summer with the family. Yesterday, while doing our weekly shopping at Sam’s Club, we came across what seemed like a good deal on a new pool. We bought it and installed it carefully on our concrete patio, placing carpet and tarps underneath as a protective layer. After finishing the installation, we started filling the pool and went inside to prepare food. A few hours later, we noticed one side of the backyard was flooded. We immediately checked the pool but couldn’t find any visible hole or rupture. It was extremely frustrating. What was supposed to be a fun day with a family BBQ turned into a complete disappointment. We wasted about 2,500 gallons of water, and after all the hard work of installing the pool, we had to take it apart and figure out how to fit it back into the box to return it. My recommendation: Do NOT buy this pool brand. There are more reliable brands out there, and your family’s safety and joy should come first.

I'm basing this review solely on the pump. I've not been using the pool long enough to provide information about the structure or liner itself. I bought this last year and didn't get a chance to install. Once I installed and tried to use this year, the pump was not working out of the gate. I contacted Bestway to try and get some support. I was informed that pump warranty is 6 months. Fair enough but a replacement pump cost 200+. With that in mind, I just bit the bullet and got a different vendor's saltwater pump. My recommendation is to test the pump as soon as you get it regardless of when you intend to install. Finding out after the pool is set up and filled with water is a bit more disheartening than finding out before doing all this work. If you do install, I recommend getting the warranty when you register since it's a fraction of the cost of a new pump. Can't speak for the claim process, but I assume it'll come out cheaper in the end. As for the pool, will see if it lasts longer than a season or two. If not, will look at other brands.

We received this pool as a gift earlier last summer and it was never used. Set it up and their was tiny holes throughout that were only noticed because water leaked everywhere. We called Bestway and they didn't do anything but give us a link to buy a new liner for $299.
