Great pool worth the money
This is my 2nd year with the Best way 20 x 48 I bought from Sam's club. It is very much worth the money. I bought my first full from Big lots during the pandemic. My grandkids loved it I realized how much easier it was to have something this fun in my backyard versus going to the water parks. It holds up very well I don't take it down during the winter I do winterize it and cover it up and it has withstood well. I did purchase a sand filter for the old pool which I transferred to this one because the ones that come with them really don't work that well. I also purchase stairs and build a deck for easier entrance and exit of the pool. I definitely would recommend. Just follow all of the other reviews that say nothing your ground and get a sand filter.

pool is great, pump is not.
Bought this pool 2 summers ago. Pool is still in great shape, pumps are the problem, we have just purchased our 5th pump in less than 3 years, they only last about 6 months. & they are 120.00 to replace, could have bought another pool with what we have spent on pumps.

We moved in to help care for my father in law and we know that we are not going to be taking any more trips anytime soon so we purchased a pool to keep our kids busy. In less than 24 hours a pole was broken…our sons pretty rough so we blamed him for possibly kicking off of it……he swore he didn’t, but the way it was bent there was no other explanation…we drained the pool and ordered a replacement pole….yesterday our girls were in it and heard a weird noise….another pole completely bent….we refuse to spend another $46 and drain and refill it again….. our water bill’s already going to be high! Do not recommend this pool at all…..

My opinion on this pool
Unlike other reviews we did not have any issues with leaks. Our pool has been up for a week now and the only issue is the filter. We may change it to sand to see if that will help with the brown tint from the well water. The latter is cheap and scary but it works and I would recommend getting a different vacuum as the one that comes with it is just a crummy piece of plastic. We too used YouTube to put up the pool and assemble the filter. I do recommend this pool . We would buy it again.

Great value
I have finished setting up the pool but it has not been used - if I feel like I need to update this review after more time, I absolutely will! In comparison to similar pools I have purchased in the past, this one's steel is much thinner than others. The connector pieces are not steel, they are plastic, which is also different than my previous experiences. However, this is the largest of these pools that I have purchased AND the cheapest, so I am not offended by these differences! You get what you pay for! The instructions do not contain words, only pictures. That is a challenge, even for me, someone who has done this multiple times! Even the instruction video is without words. Super weird. BUT, I did get it done....it was just harder than it had to be, especially for the filter system - that was DIFFICULT to figure out! Assembly can be completed as one person - I was able to get it all done by myself. The box that I was sent was missing some of the parts needed to assemble the ladder. That was a major bummer and Sam's was unable to provide JUST the missing parts. Because the pool and filter had already been assembled and filled, making it very hard to navigate a complete replacement, Sam's was able to find an alternate solution to make up for the missing ladder parts. I am satisfied with the solution that has been provided and don't blame Sam's for the circumstances.

Not worth the money!
Pool does not have a filter/skimmer basket so it has to be cleaned constantly. The pump doesn't have sufficient amperage to keep water moving so dirt/algae are an issue. We upgraded to a larger pump and still did not have success keeping it clean (yes, we treated it chemically and they're aren't any trees near the pool that would cause excess pollen). Very disappointing as the size of the pool is great for swimming.

Love it
Bought this pool in July of 2023 and love it. The pump is better than I thought it would be. The cover is a great add-on. We attached it with clips to keep it place. It saves on choline and water evaporation. It keeps the leaves out. The ladder and accessories are adequate, but we have upgraded. No big deal. It's 103f plus, and the water temp is 90f. We bought a ground cover, and that is a recommendation I would suggest. Once we had level ground, it took all of 2 hours it set it up with water being added. We were swimming the next day.

Dissatisfied
We received this pool as a gift earlier last summer and it was never used. Set it up and their was tiny holes throughout that were only noticed because water leaked everywhere. We called Bestway and they didn't do anything but give us a link to buy a new liner for $299.
