I have been loyal to Samsung - TVs, all kitchen appliances, washer and dryer. I am disappointed to say that the fridge either came already scratched, or was so easily scratched that me putting a piece of paper on it with a standard magnet caused this damage. I live alone, couldn’t have been anything else. My ten year old fridge didn’t even have scratches like this. I will have to pay for a replacement panel already, less than two weeks in.

Our previous fridge was a side-by-side and came with the house and we could not wait to upgrade. We were able to fit everything we had in our side-by-side into this fridge, and we still have a lot of useable space. The freezer was the most noticeable. I thought that we would have less room below due to the dual door design, but it’s the opposite. The roll out shelves and drawers in these compartments allow you to really organize your freezer. I feel like I have a ton of useable space down there and that’s after we emptied the other overloaded freezer into it. We think the bottom right will be an awesome mini fridge for the kids to easily get into until they are taller. We love the dual ice makers, but it has taken a bit of getting used to as we normally have always had in-door ice and water. Our kids like the Ice makers down low with a scoop they can use. We love the auto fill pitcher in the beverage station. Makes filling those glasses, sippy cups, etc. much faster. I like that it’s all conveniently located behind an outer panel in the door where you can organize other items for quick grab. The auto open doors is the feature that made my wife go WOW! I had to find the setting and turn it on, fine tune the leveling, but once set up... amazing. This fridge has a wonderful very large Ai hub touchscreen that allows you to control a variety of things including temperature of the zones. It scans things with a camera as you put them in and take them out. You can turn this on and off and it works well, but I find myself having to manually enter items names more often than not. I like that I can add expiration dates to the food, and it will help me keep track of what is about to expire. I wish I could see the inside of the main compartment, but the camera will only show remotely the doors and relies on the auto scan to tell me what is in main compartment. Personally, I feel it needs some improvement as I was overwhelmed at first setting it all up, but once I got settled in with it, I realized It could use a lot more apps. I like that I can use my Samsung phone with it easily to stream content though. It definitely is a nice touch to this fridge and I hope to see more apps added down the line. Overall this fridge is a home run for us. Checks a lot of boxes and we are very happy to use it every day. The versatility and features it offers are like none other I have had.

My family was able to fit everything from our previous Samsung fridge which was 10 years old into this one with plenty of room leftover. A few of our favorite features is the bottom right compartment. That section can be used as a freezer or refrigerator which is helpful for when we plan for the warmer seasons we like to keep more fruits and vegetables handy so we plan to use the fridge function but in the winter we tend to consume more frozen foods and will be utilizing it as a freezer. The bottom left compartment offers a lot of room for storage but also produces two different types of ice with a scoop included. The size of the ice is small to medium which is suitable for all types of drink and kids and adults alike. One improvement I hope to see from Samsung regarding the ice is a sensor for the ice to detect is the ice tray is inserted. When I have the ice tray pulled out to get ice, the machine will dispense the new ice onto my frozen items below. The top doors are also incredible. Top left door can be opened halfway to expose the beverage center with a built in auto refilling pitcher, great for guests! But also it has a manual water dispenser. If you slightly tap the bottom of the the under door where the doors meet the door will automatically open! Not a feature I was aware of but am excited to use while I’m cooking and my hands are dirty. The right hand side panel is essentially a smart phone the size of a small TV! As my dining table is angled in an away where it faces the fridge, my family and I have already utilized the free Samsung TV feature to watch shows during dinner. Volume is adjustable and it gets very loud! I have other Samsung appliances and love that I can add the fridge to the app to adjust and maintain its settings. The fridge’s capacity holds way more food than two adults and two kids need to eat but extra room is always nice to have. To utilize the AI Vision you have to hold a recognizable item up to the camera for a few seconds then you can pull it up using the AI vision. The dual ice maker took about 24 hours from delivery to produce ice but once it did the ice trays quickly filled up. The dedicated beverage center is nice because as the weather warms up, you don’t have to open the full fridge to refill on water or other drinks you place in that section. The overall size of this fridge is huge, interior and exterior. However, we have had great experience with Samsung products in the past and hope this fridge will last us years to come. Our favorite features of it is the AI family hub, dual ice maker, and beverage center.

I was initially impressed by the job Samsung did packing it, there’s little to no chance this beauty would get damaged in transport. As a techy, I enjoyed learning about all its functionality, interfaces and the display screen—it’s amazing. I connected it to both Samsung the SmartThings and my Alexa home network. I amazed the family by playing my wife’s favorite tune then demonstrated how to play YouTube videos while preparing a meal or just snacking in the kitchen. By morning I had loaded some of our favorite travel pics including some really unique sculptures we’ve seen on our travels and set the to play as a slideshow. But wait, there’s more, I set the ice maker to pause making ice during late night hours—but it’s so quiet, that really is just icing on the cake. Speaking of pastries, after we loaded the fridge we had practically a whole shelf just for layovers and the strawberry rhubarb pie my wife made that evening. There’s more, it boasts a super cool beverage center where we loaded our cold coffee and other refreshments, and loaded infuser with fruit in the pitcher included with the beverage center. This is hands down the best appliance we’ve ever owned and one I trust will be the Family Hub at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
