Nice Addition to our Winter Snow Removal Tools

We purchase the unit to help reduce the amount of shoveling we do like many. We have a gas driven snowblower, but wanted something to clear paths and smaller areas. My first impression is that the unit works very well. It is light enough that my wife found it easy to maneuver. I used it to clear the area at the end of our driveway from the plow wash and it it handled the three inches pretty well. Not sure how it will handle deeper wash. That is another test. The one drawback is the lack of veins to direct the snow to one side or the other. This would change the review from good to excellent. The battery seems one of the better, but again that is another review update when I can push the unit further. Overall, I'm very happy with the unit.

Main negative is how it throws the snow

I like the shovel. It really helps my back out not having to lift up shovels full of snow to throw. But the biggest downfall of this shovel is the angel it throws the snow is way too high. It would be nice to have the option to have a moveable guard that if rotated down it would throw the snow more straight forward than straight up. If there is a little wind the snow goes right into your face and over the area that you already shoveled which is frustrating. So I decide on if I use it or not, based on the wind.

amazing little machine

I bought a snowjoe several years ago. Best decision I ever made. While it's only a single battery model (older) it is still running strong. I do our 4 unit townhouse (the neighbours reap the benefit) and it works amazing. I would not hesitate to buy another.

Snow Joe Cordless shovel

This product is powerful and is holding up to the daily snow removal here in North Idaho. I have moved 10" of fresh snow and it has done well on wet snow, would not push my luck on the heavy stuff. Really is easy and much lighter than a shovel of snow! Bought it to use on the sidewalks and drive way. Works good, small to store, I keep my battery indoors until use. so far have not run out of juice on any work load. I have the 5.0 Ah. Would recommend women to use. I love it.

I like mine

Received my SJ cordless shovel on Feb 10, 2023. Charged it overnight and put it to work this morning shoveling 4-6" of snow from my front walk. Worked like a dream. I live in northern Maine next to the Canadian border so we get a lot of snow. What surprised me the most was that the shovel easily went through impacted snow that he town's street plow stacked up in front of my walk. I then tacked the snow plowed up in from of my driveway and the shovel disbursed that quickly. I have a drive that is almost 90’ so I started shoveling a path down it. I wanted to see how powerful the shovel was, so I started pushing the shovel down the drive without stopping, putting a heavy load on it. I went about 50 feet and stopped. No problem. I used it to clear snow from around my car and the driver’s side of my Hummer H3t. Again, no problem. I then started shoveling about 20’ to my garage, and the shovel started shutting off. Nothing serious, just the battery needing recharged. Really a powerful machine. I like mine.

Great First Experience!!

SnowJoe was delivered on Tuesday, forecast called for snow Wednesday night so I unboxed quickly and charged the battery and used it 1st time on Thursday am for about 2" snow. Worked great! For small amounts of snow we don't have someone plow so I wanted something to make it easier on the back. I was able to do our deck, walk, drive and drive to our barn without having to recharge the battery. Our drive is packed gravel and no issue to use this. Much easier on the back than a shovel and much quicker. Only negative is the same issue others have mentioned, the snow will come back at you with the slightest wind, so dress accordingly because you will be covered with snow. Overall very happy with this product.

FEB 22, 23 Midwest Storm Beat Down by SJ

We had the wet heavy rain and about 7 to 8 inches of snow on February 22, 23. My other half lost the key to the Toro. So SnowJoe to the rescue. Although l had to do it in swipes it still would have been horrible to lift this snow. I got through half before the batteries died (I have two) usually l can do the entire walkway, parking pad, front of the house walkway. This snow really packed a punch. SNOW Joe did half the job then l had to recharge the batteries for the rest. I have had this product for about 5 years. I wish you'd make one with a directional, lights and at least 20 inches. That way l really wouldn't need a snowblower. Thank you!

throws snow but handle controls difficult

live central minnesota. have a lot of light snow storms. have 2 sets of steps , 16 feet sidewalk. end up pushing snow into a pile and using the 2 stage snow thrower to disperse out into the yard. this product does throw the snow excellent. but the relationship of the safety button to trigger , is difficult for this 71 year old with a bad wrist. I will be pushing and throwing snow and my thumb pressure will letup on the safety button and it shuts off just as I lifted and started throwing snow. I eventually just put a clamp on the button so I can just concentrate on the on trigger. Otherwise my thumb becomes fatigued and I can't use the unit. They need to really look at the configuration and relationship of the handle. I would like the handle rotated like a regular shovel handle. this would make it easier to balance the unit as the power end has some heft to it. 3 stars because the handle needs work. 5 stars for power and snow throwing capability.

Love from MN - Cordless Snow Shovel

Now that I have had my Snow Joe Cordless Snow Shovel for a couple months, I'm ready to write a review. At first, I thought it was only good for that "sweet spot" of 1-3 inches of snow. But yesterday and today I used it on 4-11 inches. It can handle very deep snow if you take it slow. I used it yesterday while still in my robe and slippers (sorry no photo) and did not get covered in snow like other reviewers - but I'm in Minnesota and we understand snow and wind and physics. I haven't run out of battery life during a shoveling session yet - it's good for at least 1/2 hour. It's lightweight - I call it my snow vacuum - one hand is all that's needed if you're clearing just a couple inches. Perfect for decks, patios, walkways. For a large driveway I use it for the edges and let the gas-powered machine handle the large job. Well worth the money, very convenient.

Buyer beware!

I purchased this product in November 2021, just in time for the snow season in Pennsylvania. The battery failed. I reached out about a replacement and the company did not have one - this I understood due to supply chain issues. HOWEVER, batteries now appear to be in stock and the company has failed to reach out and solve the battery failure issue. Now I have a very expensive plastic item of no value ~ unfortunately I should have done business with the large chain.
